Oak + Violet is one of the best restaurants I've dined at in years. The food is prepared with imagination and great care. They specialize in locally sourced food which adds so much flavor and freshness to their dishes. They offer a wide variety of wines, even if you order by the glass. The service was great too.
This place is ON POINT. Surprisingly elevated menu for a restaurant at a boutique hotel and the service was top notch. Brought some friends from a Ferrari unveiling event down the street and we were not disappointed!

I partecipate a company event and the food was very poor and low quality and qualtity , free bar was good but basic cocktails. I don't recommend it for a drink.

Wonderful environment for drinks with friends, often accompanied with great music. Not necessarily a foody paradise but drinks selection is great, deserts are delicious and the courtyard is super relaxing. One of favorite places
Wonderful experience, excellent food and service.

Positive: the steak was fantastic. Negatives: the was an event on earlier with a bunch of people still hanging around that dominated the space and basically very few others dining there. They also had a live musician there that was too loud so made it difficult to talk. The two starter dishes (tuna carpaccio and burrata with peas) were nothing to write home about and I actually don't think the tuna was very dry fresh. The service was great- but couldn't make up for the lack of ambience.
Music a little loud at times but overall great experience! Wait staff was attentive and super accommodating of all our various food preferences and allergies. Great vibe outside, good portions (moderate, not too much), delicious and choices of proteins were great.
This restaurant is excellent, both in food, service and ambiance! I will definitely be back!
Great spot. Music was perfect, ambiance and vibe outside was on point. Drinks and food were good. Really enjoyed it.
Lovely service on the patio with live music. Great place to meet a small group after work. Only nit: please bring back the flatbreads, which were perfect for sharing with drinks and chats.

It is always nice to have dinner outdoors. Not only the ambience but the food and service were great. The new menu it's outstanding. Will defensively come back for dinner. So exited to try the new bar and lounge menu.
Wonderful meal with amazing presentations and flavors. The beef tartare starter was delicious, and the pecans gave it a great texture. The tuna crudo starter was just really pretty and so tasty, with a bacon twist in the flavor that I've never had with tuna before. We both had fish entrees, halibut with fennel and a miso glazed black cod. Both were delectable but the cod was the winner there. The wine list was great, many good choices; we had a Bordeaux. Finally for dessert I had a cinnamon roll sundae which was a sundae on top of a cinnamon roll, which was at least as good as it sounds (and looks!)
We will definitely visit again. There were several other items on the menu which look good, and the menu was clearly very seasonal as well.

The service was excellent. Our hostess went above and beyond to help us get seated. The music band was great. Their wine list is superb.
Live music and dining outside were a plus for this restaurant. We expected noise as the restaurant faced El Camino Real, but there was only low noise level and wonderful live jazz music on a Friday night made the dining a joy. Appetizers for us, a group of 4, were not much to choose from. Entrees were expensive and when one of us ordered a fish entree despite not liking the paired vegetable, our friend was not offered a substitute, and do the fish ordered arrived as just a piece of broiled fish on a plate. With 4 of us, and 3 entrees ordered and 3 appetizers, and 2 desserts and 3 drinks .... The check was almost $300 and we left hungry! Service was good but really only 4 half slices of bread with the cheese appetizer! Salads were also skimpy. While we loved the music and the ambience it gave the evening .. we would not return .
I went to Oak + Violet for my mom’s birthday dinner, and overall, we had a really lovely time. The ambiance is beautiful and the service was attentive throughout the night.
As a vegetarian, I did find the menu to be a bit limited. There was only one vegetarian entrée option, and while it was tasty (the gnocchi in particular was great), it would’ve been nice to see a few more creative or plant-forward dishes on the menu.
That said, the staff was really accommodating, and the dishes I did try were fresh and well-prepared. My mom felt celebrated, which was the most important part, and I’d still come back for the vibe and the service.
