They closed at 1:20pm despite their hours saying they close at 2pm. Not even a last call at a good time margin.
Came here for brunch on a Sunday with the family. Food and service were great. Presentation and colors of the food were super cute and instagrammable. Only thing I didnt like was the ambiance. The brunch is all on the outside covered patio which is large but not nice like the inside of the restuarabt I think they have that for dinner only.

Great vegetarian options.
The ambience is average, due to outdoor seating and shared restaurant space with Thai restaurant.
Tiramisu latte is very average, less sweet but not too great.

I had an absolutely awful experience here. The server Jia left me alone for long periods at a time, the longest over 20 minutes, and it wasn’t even her the times I was actually served. I ended up there for over 2 hours despite ordering nothing but two drinks, a coffee, and an entree. Other servers asked me how I was doing and actually put in orders etc but she ignored me the entire time. Also I guess she and another server assumed I couldn’t understand the same language as them because they started speaking badly about me while I was still there because I didn’t give a big tip after she totally ignored me. Bad service is one thing, but speaking badly about your customers after you just abandon them is another. Other servers would even just avoid eye contact as they walked by so it wasn’t just her either. If you’re the type of person who just enjoys going out and thinks you can have a decent experience as a single diner, do NOT go to this place.
Also, their huevos rancheros (called Belly Rancheros) does not come with any sauce or anything. Just pork belly and eggs on a dry tortilla.

They accommodated our large party. We had a nice patio area. The food was uh-mazing! Service was really fast as well. Definitely recommend it and worth coming back again.

I visited Son and Garden after seeing it all over Instagram, and it definitely lived up to the hype. Parking can be a bit difficult, but the restaurant is conveniently close to the Caltrain station. If you sit outside, just be aware that it can get noisy since it’s right next to the tracks, but the beautiful décor makes the atmosphere enjoyable overall.
The food was very good, and surprisingly, one of my favorite dishes was the fish and I’m not usually a fan of fish dishes, so that says a lot. The drinks were also very aesthetically pleasing and well-made. It is a little on the pricier side.
The space is large for a Bay Area restaurant, with both indoor and outdoor seating, and it does get very busy, so I’d recommend making a reservation.
Overall, it’s a beautifully decorated spot with great food, solid drinks, and a lively atmosphere. I would definitely go again.

Food was plated beautifully and everything seemed fresh. Reasonable price given the portion size as well. While overall food was good, nothing I’ll be craving. A couple of notes if you care about the details - potatoes were a little too salty, pancakes when paired without fruit were quite dry, blueberry biscuit was substituted for the ciabatta mentioned on the menu without telling us beforehand.
Overall a great place for brunch vibes! Perfect indoor/outdoor type seating good for any size group with florals. We went early on a Saturday and there weren’t too many people until closer to when we were leaving but they do take reservations if you’re on a schedule and are planning for something closer to prime brunch time. Staff was friendly, water glasses kept full, anticipated needs, and paid the bill right at the table.

We went here for the first time for brunch today, and unfortunately, it will be our last! We had reservations and were seated quickly. It was crowded and really noisy. Our server recommended the Crabby Omelet to my wife, which she ordered. Although it was flavorful, there was just a couple of tea spoons of Dungeness crab meat on top and none inside. For $29.95, we'd expect more crab meat! I had the Ricotta Pancakes, which were very good. We also had a Bloody Mary that was good, but instead of adding a celery that usually comes with a Bloody Mary, this one just had the celery leaves.
Our server, wasn't good at all! She never once came by to ask how everything was. We eat at lots of restaurants and this has never happened before. She didn't come by until it was time to pay. Also we ordered two drinks to start and when she brought them, she gave me my wife's drink and mine to my wife!

We used to come to son and garden almost every week before. Until a year ago, we came all the way just for pancakes were souffle, light, fluffy, and had a nice compote on top. Now the pancakes are like anywhere else.
The Hawaii scramble is still delicious

The salmon eggs Benedict was 5/5. The fried chicken eggs Benedict was a little dry so 4/5. Overall a beautiful brunch spot with a variety of options. No wait on a Saturday morning.

Have been here twice. The food was ok, got an overcooked Benedict for once. Also the service was a little understaffed (no coffee refill whole time) They do have a wide selection of items on the menu. And a lot of drink options and chefs specials, which are a plus.
