My friend who has travelled in India suggest we go out for Indian food, I walk by this place frequently as I live nearby. I love Butter Chicken. The butter chicken was delicious. The chicken was plentiful and moist. The sauce was delicious. I enjoyed it over the rice and dipping the Naan in it! My friend had the chicken in curried coconut milk I had a taste and it was also delicious. I wasn't particularly impressed with the fried egg rolls. They were tiny and had very little in them. The Taj Mahal beer went well with the meal. The Nepalese waiter was very attentive. Because we were the only customers at lunch, the main course came out right away. They need to advertise this place to increase number of customers. No atmosphere inside. Outside patio nice..

If you love Indian food this is a gem in downtown Menlo Park! We have tried most of the Indian dishes and some of the Nepalese dishes on the extensive menu. What distinguishes this restaurant is the sauces for all the standard items - Korma, Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken, etc. the sauces are each complex, absolutely delicious and full of flavor. The proteins are of high quality. Seriously the best at the standard menu we have seen. Much less expensive than the trendy street food restaurants now the rage (Ettan, Rooh, Eilan) but seriously delicious! Fantastic naan bread and Nepalese momos, and othe street food appetizers too! The furnishings and dinnerware are equally special. Service is a bit uneven but the overall experience is A+!

As someone who loves exploring authentic flavors, Tilak in Menlo Park completely blew me away. Every single dish we tried was bursting with rich taste, fresh ingredients, and the perfect blend of spices.

The momo were hands down some of the best I’ve had—juicy, flavorful, and perfectly steamed. The tandoori chicken was incredibly well-marinated, smoky, and tender, with just the right amount of heat and depth of flavor.

Both the non-veg and veg items were top-notch. Whether it was a creamy curry or a vegetable dish, everything was cooked to perfection with a noticeable touch of authenticity you rarely find outside of South Asia. You could taste the freshness in every bite.

What made the experience even better was that our kids loved and thoroughly enjoyed the food too—which is rare! The mild spice options and variety of dishes made it perfect for the whole family.

On top of the amazing food, the service was attentive and welcoming. The team clearly takes pride in their work, and it shows.

If you’re looking for authentic, flavorful, and fresh Indian & Nepali cuisine, Tilak is a must-visit. This place sets the bar high!

We had an absolutely amazing time at Tilak in Menlo Park with our family! From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the warm, family-friendly ambiance that made us feel right at home.

The food was outstanding—honestly, almost everything we ordered easily deserves a 5/5 rating. Each dish was rich in flavor, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. You can truly tell that a lot of care and authenticity goes into their menu.

The service was impressively fast, and the staff were attentive throughout our entire visit. It was clear that customer care is a top priority here—they made sure we were comfortable and satisfied from start to finish.

Tilak is a gem in Menlo Park and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommended for families, food lovers, or anyone looking for a satisfying dining experience!

We stopped by this place recently and had such a great experience. The service was super quick, which I really appreciated, and the food was absolutely delicious.
We ordered the tikka masala, chicken biryani, tandoori chicken, samosa chaat, and dahi puri and honestly, everything was packed with flavor. The chicken in both the tikka masala and biryani was juicy and tender, and the spices were spot on. One thing you have to try is their coconut naan! It's so soft, slightly sweet, and perfect for scooping up that tikka masala sauce.
The samosa chaat and dahi puri were both fresh and full of flavor too, crispy, tangy, and just the right amount of spice. I finished off with a cup of chai, and it was warm, comforting, and a great way to end the meal.
Definitely recommend if you're craving some good Indian/ Nepalese food with fast service!

Tilak has quickly become one of my favorite spots to eat. The service is always polite and fast, and the staff are super friendly and welcoming. I really appreciate how consistent the food is every time I visit—it’s always delicious.

The butter chicken is my absolute favorite. The sauce is rich, creamy, and full of flavor—it honestly hits different. I keep coming back just for that dish because it’s the best butter chicken I’ve ever had.

The restaurant has a great atmosphere too. It’s warm, clean, and comfortable, which makes the whole experience even better.

They serve really authentic Nepali and Indian food. The momo tastes homemade and fresh, and it even feels healthy—like something made with care.

If you’re looking for a place with great food, kind service, and a cozy vibe, I highly recommend checking this place out!
