Nestled in the heart of the Peninsula, Woodside Vineyards offers a surprisingly perfect outing for the whole family, blending sophisticated pleasures for adults with delightful entertainment for the little ones. Our recent visit with our five-year-old and one-year-old was a resounding success, leaving everyone with smiles and a desire to return.
For a winery, Woodside Vineyards is exceptionally family-friendly. The highlight for our eldest was undoubtedly the unexpected treasure trove of exotic cars stored on the premises. The gleaming collection of high-performance and classic automobiles had his eyes wide with excitement, providing a unique and thrilling diversion that you simply don't find at a typical winery.

While the kids were captivated, we were able to indulge in the true purpose of our visit: the wine. The selection was impressive, with each tasting revealing the quality and care put into their winemaking. The ambiance of the tasting area was relaxed and welcoming, with knowledgeable and friendly hosts who were more than happy to chat about their wines and the history of the vineyard.
The culinary offerings were another high point of our experience. The freshly made pizza was an absolute hit, with a delicious crust and flavorful toppings that pleased both the kids and the adults. We also savored a beautifully arranged charcuterie board, laden with an assortment of fresh fruits, artisanal cheeses, and cured meats that paired wonderfully with the wines.

Adding to the relaxed and family-friendly atmosphere were thoughtful touches that kept the children happily occupied. A charming fountain setup with wine barrels provided a fun sensory experience, and the availability of toy cars was a lifesaver for keeping our five-year-old engaged. It’s these small details that demonstrate a genuine understanding of a family’s needs

Located conveniently within the city, Woodside Vineyards is a rare find – a place where parents can genuinely relax and enjoy a sophisticated wine-tasting experience without worrying about keeping their children entertained. It’s a testament to the warm hospitality and thoughtful planning of the hosts. We wholeheartedly recommend Woodside Vineyards for a fantastic day out that truly caters to everyone.

A hidden gem in the industrial part of San Carlos. They distill their wine on site with grapes sourced from local san mateo-los gatos mountain range vineyards. Super friendly host and told us their roots & their business. Food truck on site is open until 3pm on the weekends and the big TV with the game on too. Got the charcuterie board for 2 and its was neatly arranged. Tasting fee goes towards your purchase if you decide to buy a bottle. Tasting was great- 2 reds, 2 whites. We got hefty pours for each of the 4 wines, and she slipped in a 5th because it was opened earlier. Would come back again for sure!

Best small batch fun winery in town. Great pizza. The Pinot noir was fantastic. Incredible kind fun service. Can’t be beat and vintage cars too! It’s a must stop if you are in town and get a bottle or 2 to go!

Awesome venue. Pleasant, chill vibe. Great food for extremely reasonable prices. Very enjoyable wine. Amazing staff. Came as a stranger, left feeling like family. Will definitely be back again.

Fabulous Friday night with a great band and delicious pizza and wings!The wine was so good! Our first time there. Will definitely go again!

It's a nice place to check out cars. Friendly staff. But the wine was a bit disappointing...

the wine tasting experience was awesome. wish they have more different wines for tasting too. our favourite from this winery are chardonnay and zinfandel.

Very friendly and welcoming staff from the moment we arrived! My husband and I both enjoyed the wine tasting and it was a perk that they are dog friendly!

The wine is great, $10 tasting fee can go towards the purchase of a bottle. The pizza was tasty too! Pool table and fooz ball table available for use. Doggies welcomed!

Inga and Kery are amazing Chief Tasting Officers- amazing and warm. Daisy is the official fur-counsel. Get here earlier if you want a piece of the wood-fired pizza pie ?! A nice tour of the fancy cars and the local King's Mountain cabernet is the tops.

This was a great stop! It's technically not part of the Mid-Penisnsula Wine Trail (at the time of this review) but it was such good fun! Wine-tasting plus a vintage/sports car-viewing experience was titillating! Carrie, Phil and Daisy were so warm and welcoming. I highly recommend as an adult-friendly, senior-friendly, kid-friendly and dog-friendly winery (fun for the whole family and your friends). Looking forward to trying their wood-fired pizzas next time!
