The ice cream is delicious. No doubt about that. But the rest of the place is awful. There’s a never ending carousel of new young employees whom have no idea what customer service is. They don’t greet you until you’re standing in front of them and they have no choice. They answer questions with “mmm hmmm” or “yup” like they’re speaking w friends. I called the other night and the girl answering said “Baskin Robbins. Hold please!” and put me on hold for 5 minutes before I had time to even respond. At least someone picked up this time because it often just rings and rings. Last, they are always out of pre packed quarts. I can’t figure out why a business owner would not want to make $?!! Sometimes it’s over 2 wks w out any chocolate. The BR in Atwater is never out of anything including prepacked quarts. The owner prob knows it’s the easiest $ to make because customers just buy and take home. No having to serve them. But the Merced owner doesn’t care. Many times I have to ask them to look in the back and they’ll pull what I need. Why when there are multiple employees standing and talking should the prepacked case be empty? Even after calling and inquiring, I’ll stop by hours later and the case is still empty. I live less than a mile from this BR but if I have time I’ll run to the Atwater shop because it’s better. I’d suggest calling before you stop into the Merced shop because there’s always a chance they’ll be out of what you want.

My experience in Baskin-Robbins the other day wasn't good. The gentleman was not welcoming and store was hot walking into the polar. All The ice creams 🍦 melting. We ordered 2 banana split this young man doesn't listen when we're talking to him. I repeatedly asked not to put peanut because of my Allergies reaction. I didn't want chocolate he doesn't listen, I wanted Carmel he didn't like me repeated myself. He needs to communicate with his customers,listen what I wanted on my banana split. Omg it was very hot in the store.

They are always out of stock!! I have NEVER been to a place that ALWAYS is out of stock of Something. It sucks this is the only location in Merced. Each time I go, they dont have what I want to order. They are always missing some ingredient. Who does their ordering? Who is the manager? Seriously, this is an issue!!

I usually get myself cotton candy milkshake, when the cotton candy ice cream ran out I would get mint chocolate chip instead. It’s really good, the wait time is a little long but a lot of people come here though. The workers there are nice. The place is a little small though, sometimes the customers will be a little rude.
