So this place has the best food worth it for prices but this is the second time me and my fiancé have gone here to eat the first time food and service was the most amazing compared to most places. Although this time the server we had was so horrible she was not checking in with us. She was rude ignored me when I asked for something practically threw the food down on the table. I would say it's a hit or miss with service but food passes.

The papaya salad was delicious and just the right amount of spicy. Be warned though they put a lot of cabbage at the bottom so you don't get as much papaya salad. The crispy tofu I liked but I wish they didn't drown it in sauce. I prefer that sauce on the side so you don't lose the crispy texture. The crispy pork belly was overly dry and overcooked. It was very hard to eat. My favorite dish is the panang. Perfect ratio of coconut to spice.

Pho broth was tasteless. Broth was not made properly—nothing more than salty water. Def not cooked as bone broth should be. Super disappointed. I understand that it is a Thai restaurant and I should have ordered better and stuck to the Thai curries. Pho should no be on the menu as it shortchanges the Vietnamese cultural dish from its original amazingness.Portions are very small. Service is limited and cannot be attentive beyond taking the order, delivering food and printing the check.

Probably the best Thai in Merced. The only reason for four stars instead of five is that they take the phone off the hook for takeout orders if they are busy, which is most evenings.

in merced for a meeting and stopping by for a quick solo lunch...mostly empty with a sprinkling of customers...high industrial ceilings and clean interiors...service is bit lax and slow...seated and menu provided...mix of appetizers, thai salads and curries, pho, asian bbq, noodles and more...ready to order, but waiting...a staff slowly making their way from the back to take the order...a bbq pork chop $15.95...served on a plate with a mound of rice with a hard fried egg on top, a sweet cucumber salad, sweet chili sauce to dip and the bbq pork chop...pork chop is already marinaded sweet, so no need for the sweet chili dip...thin slices of pork with random bones...need to be a little careful when eating...while the presentation was neat and tidy, the pork chop was just okay...paying $20.72 total after tax and tip..

Finally got to get to this place. I have heard nothing but great things about Coconut Cafe. Food was amazing and this service did not fall short. My only knock on the place is that depending on what seat you are in, when someone opens the bathroom door you see right in! . Just change seats if you need to. But, I recommend this pace you will not be disappointed.
