We are in Merced to visit Yosemite the next three days. The desk clerk at our hotel recommended Destino’s. It wasn’t bad, but not great either. Started with bruschetta. Taste was excellent, but the bread was not crisp like we’ve had at other Italian restaurants. We think it’s because the tomato topping was very “wet”. We have been 3 times and it’s fantastic each time. Incredibly consistent, and as a food service worker myself that’s super important to me. Pizza is so good, meatballs are perfect, and I want to be buried with a pint of their pink sauce. You can tell everything is house made and they have wonderful standards for taste and consistency. What a wonderful experience! The service was awesome the food was delicious and the drinks were perfect. The owner was so charming and welcoming this was just the perfect ending to an outpatient surgery day!!
