This was the first time I tried H & W in spite of living in the Merced area for twenty years. I got a double cheeseburger with fries and a drink for just $8.50! The service was quick and friendly. They have car hop service if you park right in front of the restaurant. The burger was great. The only reason I am not rating them higher is because I did not like the fries. They put a peppery/chili seasoning on their fries that did not appeal to me, so I ended up not eating them. Next time I will ask if they can leave them unseasoned. Otherwise the food is good, cheap, and quick. Definitely much better than any of the other drive-ins or burger places downtown.

Drove down from Sacramento to pick up a Mission Style Curio that we purchased over the phone after finding the cabinet online. Once we were loaded and ready to go, she offered up a great place to eat about 5 minutes away called H&W Family Drive-In where her sister works as a cook. We took her up on the offer because we were starving and hadn't had lunch. I enjoyed one of the best burgers that I have ever had. It was not on their menu but was recommended by Lulu at Miranda's Furniture. The Yeyi Burger!! Jalapeños, Bacon, Avocado and more! It was amazing!! Awesome customer service! Friendly employees. Fast service! Excellent Burgers!! Great experience from H&W Family Drive-In and Miranda's Furniture. Well worth the trip! Thank you so much.

My wife stumbled across this old style drive in diner on line. It is cool, clean, and the server was great. Good prices and the food was good. I dug it
They recently increased minimum wage and now they give you less food. Love the Philly cheese steak but it’s more bread than meat. There is not enough meat on the sandwich. Less food and higher prices. I rarely go now. Not worth it

This place is always good, their fruesz are perfect and they have a hamburger double as long as a Sub on a long on a French bread roll this thing is massive, order up a milk shake and all in a car hop environment where they bring the meal to you car side
Parking: It can be tricky on a busy night that parking lot is kinda narrow with two rows of spaces
Kid-friendliness: Out door or in car seating the kids love it
Wheelchair accessibility: There is wheel chair access at the front closer to 16th its a wider handicap space i think there was two they where right in front.
