This was the first time I tried H & W in spite of living in the Merced area for twenty years. I got a double cheeseburger with fries and a drink for just $8.50! The service was quick and friendly. They have car hop service if you park right in front of the restaurant. The burger was great. The only reason I am not rating them higher is because I did not like the fries. They put a peppery/chili seasoning on their fries that did not appeal to me, so I ended up not eating...

Drove down from Sacramento to pick up a Mission Style Curio that we purchased over the phone after finding the cabinet online. Once we were loaded and ready to go, she offered up a great place to eat about 5 minutes away called H&W Family Drive-In where her sister works as a cook.
