This has been my go to place! I’ve tried many places in Merced that serve pho and although many are good, their pho broth will always be my favorite! Also this is the best place for pad Thai hands down:) I introduced my coworkers to this spot and it’s our go to place for lunch outings. We always get a plate of orange chicken, egg rolls, chicken fried rice and chow mein. Always hits the spot! Great service and great food.

We found a really great Thai restaurant with unique and interesting dishes. The owner was incredibly kind—after our trip to Yosemite National Park, we were almost late getting back to town. I called to ask if he could wait for us because we were starving, and he kindly did. Thank you so much for your generosity!

I’ve been eating here for the past few years. The food is tasty and the employees very friendly. The food is prepared fast and fresh. My only complaint is that recently, the prices have gone up. I understand the cost of everything is rising but cmon…the shrinkflation is out of control. At least give me the same amount as when I paid less. I notice depending on who is making the food, I might get way less. I know this because I’m not a huge eater and the plate usually lasts 2 meals. Lately, it’s only enough food for one and I can feel the container is lighter when I pick it up. So if you’re wealthy and can afford $16 for a small plate of noodles, have at it! It IS good but the costs are too high for the amount of food you get. I wish they’d do something to ensure you get what you pay for….EVERY TIME! So 5 stars for the taste of the food, 2 stars for cost & portion size.

I’ve been up and down California looking for anything even remotely close to their chicken pad Thai and nothing has come close. I always come here when I visit my family because I cannot fathom never having it again. Pairing the beef Yum Neur sauce with their sticky rice is also heavenly. I promise you’ll never have anything like this place anywhere.

Literally they have the best pad Thai ever! Affordable and so delicious and I love the customer service and the location. I have tried pad Thai and no one can make it like Houa. No lie! I highly recommend
