Nothing close to Mediterranean food with poor service
While the ambience was decent, the overall dining experience left much to be desired. We ordered the Spicy Chicken Plate, expecting bold Mediterranean flavors, but the dish resembled a very bland Indian curry—completely lacking in seasoning or authenticity. The rice was equally underwhelming; Mediterranean-style rice is typically long-grained and aromatic, but what we received lacked both the texture and flavor we anticipated.
The falafel was not ready at the time of order, which is understandable; however, after being told it would be brought to our table, I had to return and ask for it myself while the staff appeared more engaged in gossip than service. Although an apology was offered, it felt insincere and dismissive. The falafel, though crispy on the outside, was partially uncooked inside, raising concerns about preparation standards.
The portion sizes were underwhelming for the price, and the $3.29 charge for a basic fountain drink felt particularly steep given the rest of the experience.
Not a place I would revisit or recommend.

Disappointing experience at Kabab City! We ordered the Spicy Chicken Plate, but it was anything but spicy. The curry lacked any distinct Mediterranean flavor — it was bland and completely tasteless. The chicken was extremely rubbery, making it hard to even chew through.
We also ordered falafel, which they claimed would be served at our table, but it was forgotten and sat at the counter until we had to follow up ourselves much later. And when we finally got it, it was a huge letdown — dry, flavorless, with no spices or herbs whatsoever.
We couldn’t even finish half our food — such a waste! Add to that the overpriced menu, and this place was a total miss for us. Definitely not coming back.

Walked in to get our usual spicy chicken plate, ended up ordering their spicy garlic chicken fries and we are not disappointed! Straight fire. And the people working here are so so nice. Honestly the best service anywhere they are so genuine. 11/10 id you are looking for a good meal with good service with an amazing atmosphere, go here. Don’t hesitate. Honestly so good 😊

I had the Falafel plate and it was some of the best Falafel I’ve ever had. Plenty of food! Great Hummus too. They have some vegan options, I’m vegetarian myself so it worked out great.

Love this place! The spicy chicken in sauce is always great. I've had amazing steak here but also some that was really overcooked. Great salad, rice, and crispy pita chips. Huge portions but awesome leftovers. Great shaded patio for outdoor dining, something really hard to find in Merced.

Absolutely 100000% worth ever penny! I had the spicy chicken & steak kabab plate and if I lived here, I would order this every day. The portions are massive, the flavors are authentic and delicious and the customer service is top notch. My friend and I ate outside and it was clean, the weather was beautful and my tummy left full. If you are in the area and don't eat here, you've played yourself.
Only reason for the two star is the seasoned pita chips and the falafel. Everything else was extremely bland and didn't look or taste like they seen a grill. All of the meat is kept warm in a warming pan and the spicy chicken is anything but spicy. The kafta kabab were meatballs with tomato sauce a first for me. Not a good departure from the norm.
