Ordered some sandwiches for lunch, when we went to pay the lady behind the counter noticed I put no tip. I called in the sandwiches. I drove there and I picked them up. They had to do absolutely nothing extra except for their job and then wanted a tip on the end of it. Tips are for when you go above and beyond not when you’re doing the bare minimum for a pick up phone order.

Drove all the way to location for a sandwich for them to say they’re not taking sandwich orders to “catch up” with orders even though it’s hours before closing. And of course they don’t have the decency to answer phone to let people know and instead waste our time. It’s been months of them going downhill you would think they would try coming up with a solution instead of excuses.

I used to love going but now they never answer the phone for pick up orders so you have to wait 30 mins for a sandwich. There’s been times when that happens and I show up and they’re not busy at all so not sure why they are so horrible about answering the phone. Plus the customer service skills of the guys needs some serious improvement. We were going pretty often but waiting 30 mins for a sandwich or a slice of pizza is not worth it, and sadly the quality in food has also gone down.

Huge, huge fan of this sandwich spot in Merced. The Jack & Rose was a perfect sandwich. Really large, perfectly constructed, and soft delicious bread.
Okay, this is a Merced favorite. They have 7 standard sandwiches, but I'm surrounded there are others not on the menu. They've great deli meats, with good spicy pepper pairings, and often use cream cheese. I think Deli Delicious is great too, and similarly priced, but these are the local guys. Unlike Deli Delicious, you could eat these in your car while driving, but don't do that. Sit down and enjoy these for the uniqueness they bring.
