This has the feel of your favorite local place. The outside doesn’t look like much, but the food is outstanding and the service is friendly. The garlic fries are awesome and the tri-tip sandwich is great. The burgers are huge too.

When first arrived at establishment, it was surrounded by homeless. Inside was ok as far as a nice atmosphere. I ordered the double western burger bacon cheeseburger with garlic fries. Let me tell you, it was not a disappointment. The burger had a lot of flavor, it was very juicy. The garlic fries also has good flavor and golden crispy. By far it’s the best burger in town as my fiancé and I tried just about all the burger joints in town. Delicious!!!

The sandwiches here are the worst I have ever seen, the fact that I am paying restaurant prices for something I would have to force myself to find appetizing is absurd. Veteran/Senior Menu is a sham there is no point in having this menu unless you want to pay $14 dollars rather than $16 and have a half-empty plate (I was shocked that I was brought out a plate of waffles with 2/4 slices removed, like who is going to eat the other 2 slices). I like the atmosphere of the restaurant but the food quality will ensure that I will not be eating here again.

My favorite Diner! forget about Dennys or any other diner, Scott's diner is 10xs better! The garlic fries are the best I've ever had. The double western burger is such a big burger you will wonder how to fit it in your mouth to take a bite, it's a bug burger, during the fall Scott candied jalapeños and OMG candied jalapeños on the western burger , the best! Give scotts a try they never disappoint!

A real small-town diner. The prices are reasonable and serving sizes good. The hashbrowns weren't very crispy but they were really busy. The staff are clearly working very hard to give good service. Coffee was good -not bitter like some diners. Really appreciated the "pick 3" breakfast option. They have an eclectic collection of mugs which is a fun touch instead of standard white mugs. The gravy could use a bit more pepper but that's easily fixed at the table.

Ambiance was really nice. They are really American central. Flags everywhere, a memorial in the center of the dinning area for a soldier. The food was really good. Big portions and high quality taste. The country potatoes had a lot of green peppers and onions in big pieces that you can actually taste. The service was prompt and friendly. I was looking for a different jam for my toast and the waitress was right there asking what I needed. All in all the best breakfast in Merced now.
