We eat here all the time, well over a decade and this time I notice the sushi portion size was really small, like scraps you would toss because they were that tiny. I called one of the servers over. Her name is Karen and she basically said “we’re cutting back on portion size and if it was larger before it was cut incorrectly and this is coming from management so there’s nothing I can do about it”. That was not the response I expected. Our personal server, however fixed the problem by adding a few more slices of the same scrap size sushi. Seriously considering not coming back.

The environment was superb first time eating sushi here in Merced and it did not disappoint. I got the unagi Bentonville box and my mother got the teriyaki salmon and it was delicious the sashimi pieces they give you are huge and delicious. Everything about this place was fresh and delicious. Definitely coming back again.

One of the workers was rude. We were waiting to see if anyone was coming to our table because we needed more water refills no one came, and also when we were done no workers approached us, when we tried asking one of the workers when they walked passed us they told us give them a second with a tone and never came back and she was doing something else right in front of us. Knowing we were trying to ask for some to go boxes.

Went in to get a bite was the first time. My daughter trying sushi, so was trying to take her somewhere. Nice. Never been here before. Just went off based off the reviews and let me tell you the food was not good. That’s spicy mayo with sour sushi was was bland. No taste. I also got Ramen and the Ramen was really gross. Like it had like a coffee taste to the water. I don’t know how to explain it, but like it is weird. Couldn’t finish it.

I was hungry for Sushi so I gave this place a try. The Miso soup was really good, as was the salad. Now the Sushi was a whole other story. I tried the California roll it was good. Then I tried another kind and I immediately tasted bad fish. I thought I was going to be sick. I waited a minute then called someone to my table. I asked her to smell the sushi and she did.She kind of made a face.I told her, try another piece to smell, she did. She made the same face.She apologized and said their fish had just came in. And I told her she might want to check the rest and get ahold of her distributor. She agreed. I may go back to give that place a second try.

I ordered two different rolls and once I received my food they were the same rolls and I got told it was just me shrimp is shrimp you can’t confuse the simple tail shrimp is not crab and crab is not shrimp

Lady was super nice as always. Stopped in after buying pizza but wanted some sushi. I used to come alot but work out of state now. Soon as I walked up I noticed the door was absolutely dirty to the point my kid said ,Nope I dont want any. Walked in an it felt warm inside. I immediately after getting handed extremely filthy menus decided no on food but felt bad ordering a couple rolls. It used to be clean an tasted fresh. Shrimp had a weird flavor like its old Feels like they gave up on the place. We wont be coming back anymore sorry guys.

Good service and good food! Quickly seated. Order was taken and food served in a very timely manner. We ate at about 6pm on a Saturday and it wasn't very busy. We had the family sushi boat and shared teriyaki chicken. Soooo good. We will definitly come back for more!
Update.... Many yrs later. 😂 This is still our go to sushi place. Our favorites are the titanic roll, chirashi sushi bowl and today I had the beef teriyaki bento box instead of the chicken teriyaki bento and it was amazing. I will forever be getting the beef... Medium rare. So tender and yummy. Our only complaint is we hate they don't have soda on tap anymore. Ever since covid you get a can of soda and a glass of ice. We mainly go for lunch as I love the bento boxes with the variety it comes with. You do get bigger portions at dinner, but not the variety of items on one plate.
My child got food poisoning. She's not allergic to anything, but she had diarrhea.
