The service is very good. They helped my lactose intolerant daughter find a dessert she could eat. The food itself is sometimes hit or miss. I’ve had good steaks, and not so good steaks. The crab was good though.
Passing through Merced so walked to the Branding Iron for dinner. \nSeems they have had a change of ownership and the locals are cranky about it. \nWe were VERY pleased with our dinners. Jim’s steak was perfect and my seafood risotto was lovely and full of seafood. The veggies were expertly prepared. George could not have been a better waiter. All it needed to be 5 is more diners!
Wasn’t sure what to expect with the new opening of the Branding Iron, but have to say that the food is AMAZING! Salmon piccata was delicious and there is a good mix of the “old” steakhouse favorites along with the new interesting menu items. Wishing the best of luck to Sam for the future of BI!!!
