The food and pastries are great. No so much for the service. The two ladies worki g there just talking . To order we need to order. we need to wait for the food that were standing because these ladies were chating. EVEN THE OWNER told her that the plate was ready. The sit are ao dirty eventhough this place has not been there for long time. The people visiting are little entitled and rude. The place has a good decoration. Hope they can maintained it. As for the cooks they are realy good. I just hope this place can grow but the owner need to have better front employees

Deive made our experience amazing! Good pastries too...

They were out of mussels, suggested the bouillabaisse special. It was absolutely horrible. There were tiny clam shells but no clams. Big hunk of overdone fish and 2 scallops delivered on a large plate, then they came with tureens of the sauce which they scooped about 2 cups into a bowl. I guess we were to put the fish in the soup bowls or dip it or ?? Never had boullabaisse served this way. Soup/sauce was not worthy of praise. Salad was delicious Baratta and peaches, which we shared. They started preparing to close about 7:45 - slaping the pillows, moving tables, very uncomfortable for the few diners in the room. Dust flying. We had to try to get their attention for the bill and were astonished that it was $68 per person which did include one glass of wine. Never again!.

What has happened here?? We've eaten multiple times here in the past and have had only great meals before last night. Onion soup, as always, was very good. But my wife and I followed it with savory crepes (she the mushroom and I the Tarragon chicken). Both were awful. Tough and unfavorable. My wife left most of hers; I dutifully finished most of mine because I was hungry but I did not enjoy it. Dessert crepe was quite good. Another person had the club sandwich which looked great and he liked very much. We started with Kir Royales which had many times the amount of cassis a good one should have and none of the finesse the drink should have. We ordered additional wine but it never arrived. We arrived at 7 pm and were told at 7:40 pm that the kitchen was closing at 8 pm, including dessert. Very unsatisfying evening. Staff were pleasant, but it could not save the evening.

This place has gone downhill in my opinion. Terrible attitude by the staff, RUDE people feels like you’re bothering them instead of being treated like a paying customer. Don’t know why someone would hire people so rude to be your ambassador to the community. The selection available is very limited and often disappointing or stale in my opinion. If you feel like wasting a large part of your morning to be treated rudely for average food at best this is the place for you.

Wonderful bakery! Went for brunch and the options were so good. Kind of difficult to get nice outdoor seating.

This is by far my favorite breakfast/brunch restaurant in Mill Valley! The food is amazing, including the French pastries 🥐 and the coffee! We come all the time and bring family and friends, who also love it!
