It's McDonald's. Food ok as good as McDonald's can be. Staff was quick serving the food but a few smiles. Impressively clean restaurant and restrooms.

I went on monday december 22 around 8pm they got my order wrong so i pulled up to the drive through window again and no one opened the drive through window even tho multiple employees passed by and saw me there waiting , when they realized i wasn’t going to leave until they helped me they opened the window then attended me with attitude.i’ve actually never had to deal with such rude employees. it’s mcdonalds i obv don’t expect the best but at least be nice and respectful to your customers i see a lot of bad reviews on these employees attitude and clearly nothing has been done to fix this issue.

Old cold coffee for full price.
Bad experience. The cashier was rude. Bad education. Bad service. Dirty tables with grease and oil. I don't understand. Did they lose their sense of smell!? I will skip this one. Never again 🤢

Last month, I dealt with Alicia, the manager, and it was appalling. I haven't forgotten about the experience and feel like something must be said. She flat‑out refused to let my five‑year‑old autistic son use the bathroom, even as he was crying and doing the pee‑pee dance in front of her!!! I explained that we had already purchased a Happy Meal and a large Gatorade—which was exactly why he needed the toilet. She didn’t care. Instead, she demanded a receipt and dismissed us. Another customer had to step in and give me their receipt. Shame on her. No compassion, no professionalism.

The employee was on a cleaning mission, super friendly too. Very, very clean McDonald's, but I guess that's what I get for showing up before the lunch madness. Wait until the lunch rush, though.

Do not spend your money and waste your time here on this location.
I went here today 8/15/2025 and there's 2 employee that I saw in the morning wearing green reflective vest. 2 Mexicans one is shorter than the other. The problem is the old lady taller than the other. She doesn't know what she's doing, giving wrong orders and doesn't know how to prioritize orders and customers.
I got my breakfast mcmuffin with egg after 40 minutes, because she keeps giving away my order to someone. She doesn't do much there, but standing and gossiping to her co workers instead of taking orders or at least pay attention to the orders.
This place is always overstaff when I come here with useless and lazy people. Majorities are old. See it for yourself.
The only McDonald's that will ask you to purchase first before you can use their filthy restroom.
I suggest to go to IN-OUT next to this filthy place. Their food is much better and restroom is accessible.
Or just go to the other McDonald's location at 190 Merrydale Rd. San Rafael, just 10minutes away from that place.

What can you say McDonald's is McDonald's no matter where you go The funny thing about California is is if you want to use their bathroom you have to buy food because there's a code on the bottom of your receipt. Lol

It's McDonald's and you have to use the touch screens to order. So service is impersonal and basically invisible. I give it 2 stars for being quick

A little quiet McDonald's spot here after needing to stop for kids potty break. Code to the restroom is found on the bottom of the receipt. Restroom was very clean and well maintained and staff were friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend this McDonald's again to anyone passing through 101 north or southbound.

My wife and I were on the way to San Francisco from the Napa Valley. We were in a rush so we stopped at this McDonald’s for a quick bite to eat. We went through the drive-through. We then parked and ate our lunch. After finishing I got out of the car and threw away the bag etc. containing the receipt into the trash container. As we were driving off, I drove around to the front parking area and entered the restaurant because I had to go to the bathroom. I am currently suffering with aggressive prostate cancer that causes the need to go to the bathroom often. I am 89 years old. I then went into the restaurant and spoke to an employee, a woman, she apparently was the manager, but not sure. She acted like it! I asked her what the code was for the bathroom. She then said I need to see the receipt. I then said we just went through the drive-through and I threw out the receipt with the trash. She again said, I need to see the receipt. I once again then said, I told you my wife and I just went through the drive-through and I threw the receipt out with the trash. She then boldly rudely yet once again with unconcern and with total lack of respect for a senior, repeated again, I need to see the receipt! I then repeated it for the third time, but she still refused.
I was obviously not a homeless person. I was dressed in a suit and tie because we were driving into San Francisco for a board of supervisors meeting. I was astonished with her rudeness and lack of concern or compassion. She obviously enjoyed using her authoritarianism by the way she put me down. I certainly understand that discretion must be used when allowing someone to use the bathroom, but when a person appears to be reputable, consideration should be made.
I hope the manager of this restaurant reads this review, unless of course, she is the manager! I am also writing to the McDonald’s head office to report this.
