Some of the best pastries I’ve had in my life — and I’ve had a lot! The chocolate croissant was so light and so flaky — unlike the too-heavy or -bready croissants you get most places. Chocolate chip cookies are the same deal — light, crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside, SO tasty.

Drop what you’re doing and go to this bakery!! Everything we got today was so delicious — chocolate chip cookie, blueberry lemon scone, cinnamon roll, chocolate croissant. And it has the sweetest owner who makes everything herself. Can’t recommend highly enough!

Karen is a master baker and a real hard worker. She arrives at 2 AM and opens at 6 AM. She has been discovered and sells out early. Her pastries are without equal and are always fresh out of the oven. I wish more people would request her sticky buns-absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, many of our "refined" citizens of MV don't like their fingers getting sticky! LOL!

I just had an out-of-body experience! No, I told myself, it was the butter croissant, I wasn't having an M.I., it was the buttery authenticity of the best croissant I've had ever since cycling across Normandy and Brittany where bread is a religion. OMG, the croissants we had were buttery, tender, soft, flakey and begged (if you listened closely) for a really nice preserve, coordinated carefully with a homemade latté, complete incredibly wonderful deliciousness. Thank you!

We stumbled upon this place on a rainy day and got a couple pastries fresh out of the oven. They were so good we were tempted to order some to go. Will definitely be back!

Mill Valley might be small, but we're spoiled for choice when it comes to bakeries. That said, this one's my favorite! You can really taste the love and skill in their baked goods – always fresh and warm. A lot of places around here don't always serve it straight from the oven, which makes a huge difference in flavor. My only tiny gripe? I wish they'd be open more often; they sometimes close for events. But hey, that's when you know they're the real deal!

She's always a pleasure to speak with, and she's such a lovely person. I love going into the bakery to talk with her and see what she's created - whatever I get from sweet pastries to savory BLTs on baguettes, it is always on another level of deliciousness and freshness.Karen made a custom order of apple cider cinnamon sugar baked donuts for our wedding this September, and our guests were raving about them. I've had multiple people ask after the wedding where they can get them, and many told me they were the best apple cider donuts they've ever had! I agree, and I grew up in New England so I've tried MANY apple cider donuts in my life and Karen's are better than any I've ever had.Karen is truly talented at what she does, and I couldn't recommend working with her for any special event more highly.
