The owners want us to pay for their workers’ health insurance because they’re too cheap to offer it themselves. They add this fee to your meal. Heck NO am I coming back here and I am spreading the word, too. Ridiculous!!

They don’t read what is ordered and they always put the wrong items in my salad.

It's taken me a while to fall into this habit. Started with my husband going on the regular for a salad or bowl. AND YES, I tend to do the salad bars of Whole Foods or Mollie Stones but this place is just different from all the others. It seems a bit pricey but the weight of my salads from the afformentioned kind of clock in at the same price range via weight. Haven't done a custom bowl yet as I don't think I can do better on the creations. Right now my fave is the "bachan's bowl" (Japanese for Grandmother.)Finally went last week in person and just seeing all the fresh salad stuff laid out, in a clean modern well lit space really kind of made me feel like I will try to build one next time in person as they have a lot of salad toppings no one else does. Although it might take me a minute. We usually order and pick up. I had ordered in arrived in the right amount of time~ it is not obvious where to stand and took a minute to get someone to talk to me but when they did, it was fine. Seems like, everyone squarely has their role. Phone guy on the phone. Fried Chicken guy doing the fried chicken. Walk in and build a salad~solo area and people for that section. So that was a bit weird since I had never been there before and I come from Customer Service background where you jump up and help if you are doing nothing. But overall I appreciate this totally different take & taste and offering than all the other Salad places and Salad Bars. It's worked it's way into my life when I get busy for lunch.

I'm revising my review to let people know what a fabulous restaurant this is. Their selection of salad ingredients is probably the best anywhere. If you're like me (not the type to enjoy concoctions design engineered by the restaurant), you can design your own salad with every possible selection you can think of, including every dressing imaginable and a variety of protein choices. My favorite protein of theirs is their "crispy chicken". I don't know how they make it, but it's like no other. Crispy without being greasy and oh so tender and yummy. I always get it in my salad. If salad isn't your thing, they offer a crispy chicken sandwich on a yummy roll with a tasty but gratefully not sloppy spread, their genius crispy chicken, sliced apples, cole slaw and pickles. It's way way better than any of the "fried chicken" sandwiches I've had at several other nearby restaurants, some of which specialize in fried chicken sandwiches. It is well worth going there if you want your dose of "healthy" to be really "tasty".

I wanted desperately to love this place but our recent order was so botched I have to say something. We got the grilled achiote chicken and to say it was overcooked and dry would be a vast understatement - it was chicken jerky. Avoid meat nearer to the end of the day - who knows when it had been cooked. This stuff could have been from the day before.I got the mandarin salad and it was missing a lot of ingredients including the star of the show... mandarins. My wife had a harvest salad and they got her ingredients all right. On the positive side besides the chicken the rest of the ingredients were fairly fresh, clean, and tasty. The dressing was totally worth it and I'd say rescued the meal from a 1 star review. Also the restaurant itself has excellent parking and is a nice looking place. So again, skip the meat unless you are getting it at a time when there's a lot of traffic and they're cooking the stuff fresh. Consider skipping a unique meat and go for a standard like grilled chicken instead,Check your salads before leaving the restaurant if you're getting takeout.Hopefully you have better luck than I did.

This was the absolute WORST salad I've ever had because of old chicken and a sickening dressing. I threw most of it away. Even the ice tea was mediocre.I've still got an upset stomach hours later. I've been sick and nauseated all afternoon.I will never go back here again!!!

Go to Whole Foods a block away and buy the ingredients and make your own salad. This place is awful. I ordered a Beatnik Salad and there literally are no beets. There is barely any salad for that matter. Mixt in SF has gone straight into the toilet. Unfortunately Mixt in MV started in the toilet. AVOID!!!

I've eaten here a few times now the salads are always great I've had four different ones the only thing with this place is some of the ingredients are a bit different than I am used to but overall a great place to eat.

Disappointing experience. I've been doing my tour of salad restaurants all around the Bay Area and this was the most disappointing. Service was very quick. I ordered The Beetnik, it was so quick that it lead me to check the ingredients before I left. No beets to be found. For a $22 dollar salad it needs to be done correctly. I brought it back and they added the beets, but I won't be coming back. If I have to check for every ingredient every time it's not work 20 plus dollars to me. Also, they were the least friendly of all staff I've encountered and it was the least appealing salad I've had so far.

The Puebla salad? Incredible. Crispy cauliflower? Perfection. The chocolate chip cookies? NO business being as good as they are. Only 4 stars for price but it's my hyper fixation meal rn and I'm loving it.
