I advise that patrons avoid this establishment for their exorbitant prices for basic food and beverage, extremely rude service, and filthy bathrooms. Bring a snack. Other restrooms are available in the park.
Everything is lovely here
Gift shop side is its strength. Broad assortment of Muir Woods logo wear and other branded products. It gets crowded easily. Merchandise and clothing appear to be above-average quality. Prices are typical for national park gift shop. Designs are appealing and worth the fre extra bucks vs. a strip mall screen print shop. Cafe needs a lot of help. It is too earthy crunchy and focused on being all natural organic to take seriously. The menu is very limited and service is notably slow, even with no other customers. Food is bland at best. Turkey melt was dry and flavorless. Grab and go options look unappetizing. The food is expensive for what you get. Best to bring your own snacks or plan your trip to avoid the cafe.
Did not like nor really dislike the shop. The prices are too high. A hat that is comparable to something you would buy from a licensed sporting event (should be about 30-35 dollars) is 43 dollars.
They have a lot of options and a good selection, but everything is more than I want to pay at a national place.
No need to pack in and pack out, the food was very good! There were hot and cold options, baked goods, and plenty of drinks (including beer). Good sized portions for the price!
Excellent collection of gift items of well crafted redwood.
Worth looking into.
Prices are highway robbery.
You can literally find Muir Woods printed shirts for 10 bucks on Amazon
Cute little gift shop and cafe located onsite of Muir Woods. I’m really glad they have this offered here since there isn’t much else close by. Prices are definitely expensive but everything sold seemed like good quality.
I've never had a good experience at the cafe. They make the sandwiches days ahead of selling them. They have very few options available for people with allergies. They only have pepsi products. They were sold out of hotdogs on my last visit. I bought some really terrible jerky from the gift shop for $20! $20 for 5 sticks of jerky. Terrible. Gross.
A convenient cafe with quality offerings (both made-to-order and ready-made options). The coffee is the best I had during my week in San Francisco, and the turkey chili was very good. The staff are friendly and hard-working but sometimes overwhelmed; it took a long time for someone to refill the half-and-half pitcher for coffee. Also, the menu prices on their website are out of date. Overall, recommended for good food and an excellent view.

I saw reviews claiming this place had great food. Very confusing, considering this was one of the worst grilled cheese sandwiches I've ever had. Bland wheat bread toasted with no butter and what seemed to be a single piece of flavorless american cheese. Came with one pickle. Genuinely believe that a ten year old could make a better grilled cheese than this. Not worth it for the price... you're better off bringing your own snacks with you. One star is for the gift shop, which had a great selection!
Some nice stuff, but felt like amusement park pricing for the food and snacks.
My recent visit to Muir Wood Trading Company was nothing short of awful. The prices are outrageously high for the poor quality and taste of the food. It felt like I was being ripped off with every bite. The dishes were utterly bland and lacked any semblance of flavor, making the entire meal a huge letdown. For the amount of money I spent, I expected much better. I won't be coming back and strongly recommend that others steer clear of this place unless you enjoy paying premium prices for mediocre food.
Gift shop has standard souvenir items. We got a magnet and a sticker. They have clothing, hats, jewelry, and books. Larger variety compared to visitor center.
Cafe has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. They stocked stubborn soda.
A souvenir shop in Muir Woods park. There are plenty of wooden goods. We have a wide variety of products made in the USA, so we recommend buying American souvenirs.
