I ordered for delivery, pad Thai no egg Luckily it came without egg but had a fish sauce taste. I didn’t make a specific request to not include fish sauce, but with many vegan restaurants in Marin that specify clearly what’s vegan, don’t think this one is worth it Updated from previous review on 2025-10-11

My friends and I were deeply disappointed by our experience. While the ordering process and the meal itself were fine—nothing exceptional, but satisfactory—the real issue came at the end.

As we were preparing to pay, one of the staff members wrongly assumed that my friends weren’t going to leave a tip. In reality, my friend was simply waiting for her wife to return from the restroom so she could leave a cash tip. Despite this, the staff member approached my wife and asked her to leave a larger tip to make up for what she assumed others in our group wouldn’t leave.

What made things worse was that she didn’t realize someone from our party was still nearby and overheard her speaking negatively about us, including making inappropriate and racially charged remarks about how “Americans” tip properly. We are Latinas, and her assumptions and comments were not only offensive but completely out of line.

By the time we left, what started as a decent evening had turned into a deeply upsetting experience.

I ordered duck curry with rice and my husband ordered bean pork. Both meals were absolutely delicious. Good gluten free options.

Ordered delivery. The Salad was delicious the Pad Thai was pretty bland. I always get peanut sauce to put on it and the peanut sauce had so much ginger it's the only thing you could taste. I don't know if it's always like that or if it was a mistake on the chef's part. If it's always like that, it's bad.

The red curry was Amazing! I got the curry with vegetables and tofu. It had just enough spice to enhance the flavors instead of overpowering them- not too spicy and very delicious. My friend and I both loved our dishes. I’m curious about the other dishes but I’d honestly go back to get the exact same one again because it was so good. I’ve thought of it several times since I’ve eaten there, which means it was quite literally a memorable experience! I’m definitely coming back and recommending to more friends! There is indoor and outdoor seating- we chose to sit outside because it was a nice sunny day.

The kee-mao and red curry were very tasty and the right amount of spice

Really delicious green curry and brown rice. Curry was packed with vegetables and good size for $30. Liked them being on Door Dash for pickup orders

Came here for dinner after deciding not to wait a long time at another restaurant in Mill Valley. It was a good choice to come to Thep Lela. The food was good and it comes out hot out the kitchen. We had Satay and Khao Soi and had the fried banana for dessert. The food was tasty and just had enough spice even though they did not ask how hot we wanted our food spice. We enjoyed really enjoyed this meal.

Amazing place. I had my mom’s birthday here, everyone liked the food and the stuff was super friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our food at this Thai restaurant. We ordered everything so it was vegan (with tofu and veggies) and tried the peanut curry, Panang curry, green curry and pad thai. Also ordered a Thai ice tea with coconut milk. Everything was delicious! The atmosphere was also very pleasant and they had huge windows open so there was a nice breeze. Overall it was a great experience.
