They know what they’re doing! The Hainan chicken is tender and full of flavor, and I loved that they serve it with an egg roll and peanuts, but it actually works. The Knife Cut Noodles weren’t as spicy as advertised, but they were still tasty. Staff were friendly and quick. Definitely a spot I’d come back to for a satisfying, no-fuss meal.

We have been looking for as authentic as possible of the Hainan Chicken we grew up on and can still find in Asia. We came across this place and thought we’d give them a try. We were wowed. Nothing fancy. Just straightforward good food. Service is brisk but friendly. The Hainan Chicken plate is complete with the chicken, Hainan rice, the ginger scallion sauce, smashed cucumbers with wood-ear mushrooms, some fried peanuts (yum!), and a token veggie spring roll (meh! on the spring roll). It’s best to get there just after they open because a line forms. Everything would have been great except for their front doorbell that is shrill and really annoying after a while.

Horrible experience. They skipped me in queue even though my name was in the list. Gave my order to the wrong table, and I had to beg for utensils. Then to top it all off the granny hit me and told me to leave a tip. No thanks

My wife and I visited this restaurant for the 1st time on a Wednesday before noon in mid-July 2025 because of a recommendation from her boss who liked the Hainan chicken rice. We walked into a clean, near-empty dining room, but minutes later, 90% of the tables were taken. My wife decided on a seafood noodle soup with noodles made with fish paste. Unfortunately, it was spicier than she liked, so she took it home for my son. She enjoyed her pork knuckles appetizer. I devoured my hand-cut noodles with spicy pork. We will return to try more on the menu.

Laksa was a bit mild (for Laksa) but still very good. The meat portion is substantial for the price point. The staff won't check in on you though, as they are understaffed and the existing staff are very stressed and usually behind on cleaning tables.

I'm disappointed because I'm a huge Hainan chicken fan but I found this to be inauthentic. Maybe I'm more used to Singaporean/Malaysian style Hainan chicken where the chicken is super tender and you dip the chicken in the sauce, but this place is completely different.
The chicken is much less tender and somewhat salty by itself. There is also no sauce. There is a flavored green onion on the side which basically makes the chicken (scallion oily chicken) 葱油鸡 not 海南鸡 Hainan chicken in my books. The taste is not bad per se just not as good as I expected from the name.
The oily rice also tastes different from what I'm used to for Hainan chicken.
The place can be popular so you may have to wait for a seating. There is a small outdoor seating area in addition to the indoor area. This used to be a noodle place but the food is basically the same.
The service is alright and they do come help you quickly.
Overall it's an alright quick eatery but I just won't consider it Hainan chicken.

Enjoyed the knife-cut soup noodles (beef brisket & tendons was good; meatball combo was ok) and the Hainan Chicken.
Food was brought out efficiently. Server and staff were friendly.

Great Hainan chicken, but wish they kept the Hong Kong tea. They are the best I ever had.
Food was really good and their soup base for the noodles is always on point! So tasty! Doesn’t leave you wanting to drink a gallon of water after either haha
It’s a pretty small place and our wait at 12pm on a Saturday for two people was around 20 minutes and there were 6 tables ahead of us.
The workers were really efficient and kept things moving and you can tell they care and are very hard workers! They have a good system down to make everything work well! Food came in less than five minutes (albeit it’s just noodle soup with chopped chicken) but still, WICKED FAST!
we got the hainanese chicken noodle soups and it was only $13 per bowl. Great deal and it came out to $17 per person with tip! Pretty good!
One thing (super salty chicken but that comes with the territory of this dish, pretty much)
