Let me first say, the rice was very undercooked, the service was mediocre. The lady serving was very harsh and mean. She seemed mad when I said I didn’t want some items on the combo I ordered.. it’s not like I wanted a discount I just that I didn’t want to waste food so I said no thank you to the bread..!!
Overall I was always excited but the food has been getting worse and worse
Not great at all…

This restaurant is close to the Milbrae Caltrain and Bart stations and the San Francisco International airport. It's an excellent choice for having food when dropping or waiting to pick up someone at the airport. The food is fresh and delicious There are good vegetarian choices.

I ordered a Chicken Adana wrap and baklava. It also came with fries. Total was $20.

The baklava was very surprising. I haven’t had a great one in awhile and I really like how it they rolled it.

If I’m I the area again is like to try one of their plates.

Great food! Much needed here in Burlingame that lacks variety of choices. I highly recommend Cafe Istanbul. The owner is super nice and passionate about her business.

Cafe Istanbul is an absolute gem for anyone craving bold and authentic flavors. The coffee was rich and aromatic, the perfect start to a memorable meal. Their lamb and beef gyro wrap was incredibly tender and seasoned to perfection, with every bite bursting with Mediterranean spices. The presentation of the dishes showed great attention to detail, making the experience both delicious and visually appealing. If you’re looking for a place that delivers on taste and atmosphere, Cafe Istanbul is a must-visit!

Tucked around the corner, you must look for it...you won't be disappointed. I had the lamb/beef gyro and it was excellent. Full of thick meat (not the thin stuff). Very large portions of meat inside. The flavor was excellent and the veggies inside crisp and fresh.
I was thinking to myself that this place is about the same price as Chipotle, but you get about double the amount of meat and better tasting. Then my mind started thinking about the long line of people typically at the In-N-Out. You get way more for your money here and you don't have to pay separately for fries.

I will definitely be back to try more of the menu.
