I've been here many times in the past two or three years and it's always delicious! I must order the squirrel fish every time. I also like the lotus root sandwich, pearl meatballs, hot dry noodles and tofu skin. They are also delicious.

A very good restaurant. As a Wuhan native, it was my first time to order all my favorites. The hot dry noodles are delicious, just like Wuhan sesame sauce. The tofu skin is also very good. Each portion is made individually. It's amazing. You can also eat Shao Noodles Wo, which has been my favorite since I was a child. Generally, the fried food in restaurants are semi-finished products, but you can’t buy pre-made dishes for a niche fried food like Shao Noodles. This shows the boss’s hard work and he is worthy of being our heroine in Wuhan🥰 The lotus root soup is also delicious, and the pink lotus root and pork ribs also taste like the soup my mother simmers. I was quite speechless after reading a few bad reviews. I believe they would say it tastes bad even if they went to Wuhan. If you like Wuhan special food, feel free to buy it🤤

I would give Hubei restaurant a miss, personally. The service was prompt and polite but the food was subpar at best. The pork dumpling seemed to be quickly microwaved and were pretty much cold on the inside.

The chicken chow mein was mostly noodle with not much vege or chicken. The dish was also incredibly oily and left a bad after-taste in the mouth. There are plenty of Chinese restaurants in the area so I'd try one of those instead.

I was glad to find a restaurant with hubei cuisine because this is my hometown flavor. But my feelings for the dishes here were mixed.
The food was authentic in the sense that they did taste a bit like what they should be. But in many other ways they were not authentic, or authentic enough.
The hot dry noodles were not the right noodles and the fermented beans and turnips didn't quite taste like their authentic versions. Doupi looked exactly like what a doupi should be, but the taste only slightly resembles doupi. The lotus root soup was better than the hot dry noodles and doupi, but still mediocre. As for oudai, I guess they did their best, it's just the oudai was not as tender. The beer duck was a bit too salty but otherwise good.

One of the few Hubei restaurants in the Bay Area. We ordered noodle nests, three fresh noodles, cumin steak and lotus root clips. The taste is quite authentic and the food is served quickly.

Delicious food, could not have gotten better Chinese food anywhere else in town. All the food was very flavorful and had real heat when it said it was spicy. Amazing costumer service as well!

I had a wonderful experience at Hubei Restaurant. The hostess was incredibly warm-hearted, making me feel right at home from the moment I walked in. The cuisine was authentically delicious, offering a true taste of Hubei's culinary heritage. The dishes were well-prepared and bursting with flavor. Overall, I had a great time and would highly recommend this restaurant to locals looking for an authentic dining experience. I'll definitely be returning!

To be honest, this is a very bad Hubei restaurant. My boyfriend is from Hubei and wanted to taste the taste of his hometown, so he went to look for food and ordered pork ribs and lotus root soup and hot dry noodles. The hot dry noodles were unimaginably unpalatable. It's so salty that you spit it out right after you put it in your mouth. The pork ribs and lotus root soup tastes pretty good. There are only 3 small pieces of very small pork ribs. 3 small pieces for 20 US dollars? Stealing money? I've been to the supermarket, and I probably know the prices. It's a bit excessive, because even one stir-fried dish is more than your size.

The boss is very nice. During the conversation, I felt that it was a very authentic Hubei restaurant. I ordered two dishes, fried bacon with bean curd skin. There was basically no bacon in sight, which was a bit unsatisfactory. The dried coriander and fragrant pepper were quite good.
