This has been a favorite of my parents’ for years. I live out of town and they always want to treat my husband and me to The Little Whale for every visit and celebration. Tina and her staff are so wonderful. They show my elderly parents how much their frequent visits mean to them so warmly and sincerely. I’ve never had a meal there that wasn’t delicious with generous portions (so much so that my parents usually shared a meal!). My dad is gone now, but my mom still loves Tina and her staff and has done her best to order take-out when they couldn’t be open for indoor seating and keep giving her business during this darn pandemic. We’ll be ordering take-out tomorrow night for out-of-state family visiting! Love love love The Little Whale!

Whenever we fly in or out of San Francisco airport - about 2-3 times per year - we always eat at this place. The owner (Tina) seems to know us now, which is nice, and we always enjoy a great meal there. My husband loves tom kha kai soup and I love salmon and they do very well with both. We both agreed that we need to travel more so we can eat there more often! Thank you to Tina and all the staff (Jeanie!) - we sure enjoy your restaurant!

Not welcome those want share dishes. Rude attitude. Won't come back. On 7/21, Sunday, around noon. As far as I remembered only one waitress served at that period. Three of us visited your restaurant for the first time. One are oversea friend and we seldom ate in Peninsula, just walk in to try a new restaurant. We were not that hungry and would try some dessert after shared the entree. ... Shocked because we never know this was not welcome after so many years living in SF Bay Area.

We've been coming here for years. Tina and crew prepare amazing seafood, steak and Thai dinners. There is always a pleasant atmosphere where all who enter are greeted like old friends- and many are. We recommend the Ginger Salmon for the entreé and the samosas are the best appetizers!
