This must be the least taken-care-of Safeway store I have seen in a long, long time! The escalators from the ground-level parking deck to the second-level store were not operating, but there was no signage saying so or anything. I had to try three carts to find one that did not urgently need a tire change and ran halfway smoothly. Many half-empty shelves, only topped by the three-quarter-empty shelves at the checkouts. As in, only three kinds of gum were available to choose...
A check staff member, Tiffany, went above and beyond to help me sort out some purchases using the app. She is a real credit to the store with a very calm and professional demeanour.
