Decent Cantonese food

Guangdong Taishan cuisine may have a strong flavor.

Most Cantonese people love seafood, so there are fresh fish, shrimps, crabs and claims.

We were in a hurry to go to SFO, this place is 10 minutes away from the airport, the food was served very quickly.

We ordered :
Egg tofu with seafood , a little bit salty , but fish slice very tender, tiger shrimp , scallops and mushrooms.

King mushrooms with squid , a little bit salty , but squid was so tender

Service was quick, but table too near each others .

Stop by Zen restaurant for a quick lunch before my flight. Food came quickly.

I ordered the pepper and pork intestine stirfry lunch special and Hubs ordered the Peking pork chops. Both were pretty good and because it was a lunch special the value was definitely there.

Would come again .

We randomly came here. We were supposed to go to PPQ to celebrate my dad's bday but they were closed. The service was one of the best! I usually don't expect much from a Chinese restaurant but they really made this experience super memorable. We will definitely return.

The food was delicious, especially the stir-fried pork ribs – highly recommended! My son and nephew loved it. The eel rice is a must-order dish. The staff were very polite, helping to refill tea and greeting guests warmly. It’s a great choice for family or friends to dine together. There are also daily special dishes. Today, we ordered the braised pork belly for just $9.90 – such a great deal!

We were looking for a good place to eat and my friend recommended Zhen. So far. I've been here twice for dinner. I'm looking forward to trying the different dishes, especially their dim sum during lunchtime.

This is the first and DEFINITELY last time I will go to this restaurant. The service provided by the female waitress with tattoos (the blurry photo provided is her) on her arm was amazing. She was very professional and polite. The elder male waiter with glasses was also wonderful at recommending dishes to us. While taking our order, we wanted to order dessert, but the elder male waiter said that no need as he would provide us with free mung bean soup dessert. We ended up orderining 5 entree dishes (totaling around $150+ & we provided a 20% tip as the service provided by the tattooed waitress & elderly male waiter with glasses was good. The food was also pretty decent.

HOWEVER, upon asking for boxes to take our leftover food, a younger male waiter with tattoo on his arm (the other blurry photo provided is him) brought to-go boxes and start boxing our foods, after placing a dish into one to-go box, he asked if other foods can be placed into that one box. We responded with, “please no, because all the food have different tastes.” That younger male waiter displayed a displeased look and then impatiently finished boxing our foods up in separate boxes. We didn’t think too much of it. We then paid the bill BUT NOT EVEN A MINUTE after paying & tipping, that younger male waiter with tattoos on his arm told us to leave because “there are other customers waiting” (which was a SINGLE group of 4 people). We had barely even sat/ate for an hour (arrived exactly 9:30 pm, got kicked out at 10:33 pm; 9:42 pm got our first dish, 10:00 pm got our last dish). The messed up part was over half the tables were empty but they don’t use them but instead kicked us out. We then remember we did not even get our complimentary dessert yet, so I asked that young tattooed male waiter, he responded impatiently with glaring eyes, “THERE AREN’T ANY FREE DESSERT FOR A WHILE ALREADY!!!” In my mind, I’m like, “what in the world?!!!! What kind of attitude is that to a paying customer?! It is not like I am there for free dessert; I was originally going/willing to pay for dessert, but was told no need as they would provide for “free.” If that male waiter is the manager/owner, he really want his place to go out of business with such type of WONDERFUL customer service.

This place is 3.9 stars on Google prior to my first visit & prior to my rating. Now I know why.

I’ve been to this restaurant three times because the food is good, but unfortunately, this will be my last visit. During our meal, our waitress was excellent—she was attentive, friendly, and did a fantastic job. However, when we finished and asked for the bill, a different staff member (a man with glasses who had never served our table) brought it and told us that an 18% gratuity had been added.

When I asked why, since we were only a party of four, he said they “normally” charge gratuity for groups of 4-6 people. My friends and I checked the menu, and there was no mention of an automatic service charge for parties of four. This practice is misleading and potentially illegal, as businesses must clearly disclose mandatory service charges to customers in advance.

Having worked in the food industry, we know how tipping works, and this was not handled appropriately. The worst part is that our waitress truly deserved more than 18%—we would have tipped her 20% if this hadn’t happened.

If you plan to dine here, be cautious and check your bill carefully. Restaurants should be upfront about their policies, not sneak in hidden charges.

First time having dinner here. It was crowded when we arrived. This restaurant has plenty of tables. The menu is impressive. There are many items in the menu. They also has the dush picture with name on the wall so if quite convenient.
We ordered dishes for 5 people and it is a lot. The food are yummy and I little the soup the best. The price range from close to 20 and up for each dish. I also like the frog and cube pork. The squid tentacles is a bit tough but chewable. It is cooked with king mushroom. Overall it was great dinner and we have much left over to bring home. The servicev is ok.

Dishes were dirty, service was slow. Waiter got our order wrong, waited over 2.5 hours for all our food to arrive (8 dishes).

This place is very popular for people that just got off work in nearby restaurant or stores.
Because this is one of the only restaurants that opens until 1:00 a.m..
As to the food, it is your very typical of Cantonese style dishes.
In terms of taste, in my opinion that they are just above average.
The best part is each of their dishes are very large portions and few dishes can feed lots of people.
Plus they have two good size dinner areas.
This would be my go-to place for late night dinner or snacks.

Ordered delivery on DoorDash. Their so called signature dish - goose, comes with most bones part (feet, neck, wing, back), almost no leg or breast. I wonder if they just pick the left over meat from in store dine, and send to delivery order? Understanding it won’t be the whole goose, but the portion of meat is just TOO off. And it’s $40+??? Worse dish. Flavor is also not impressive, just so so. Won’t order from here again (neither delivery nor dine in).
