The quality of food has depreciated over the years.Ordered their special Butter chicken but the taste was so bad we had to just gulp it given the price for it. At the end after paying the check and adding tip, the server had no shame in coming back and asking for more tip. I do not recommend this place if you want to eat quality butter chicken near Santana Row.

Might be the expectation was too high, but was ensured the reality check was done properly! Oneof the worst food in the Bay Area… Miserable menu selection for a Valentines Day Dinner, too little quantity, strange chicken do pyaza recipe with overpowering salt and garlic, shrimp curry was overpowering garlic flavor as well with 4 shrimps from Costco… Rice was 60% cooked… Coming to the desert - one kulfi was distributed to two, maintaining the standards of minimized quantity…seems evident the desert was outsourced from Indian Groceries… The plates served were even broken… Now coming to the invoice, seriously, $389??? A gratuity of 18% charged…

Always good food and service!Prices here has shot up a lot...(has been coming here since they opened)..may be priciest in South bay. If looking for only good food, there are other options in South bay. But for nice celebration outing, this is still a very good option!

Okayish place for dinner, not up to the mark for the location that it is in. Drinks are not that great, curries are decent. Also, we got a dirty fork and knife wrapped inside our napkin, totally unacceptable.

We went for their weekend buffet with high expectations. The spread was good with a variety of vegetarian options as well. But the quality was average. Their a la carte food is more innovate and fresh. Sadly the buffet was just a regular one. It will cost you about 30/person and you are probably better off at a run of the mill $10 buffet place. What shocked me was the service. I've been to the Santana Row Amber a few times in the past, and the service has gradually degraded. One of the waiters sulked and sighed when we asked for garlic naan. He just assumed we would have the regular one and when we expressed our choice he was clearly dissatisfied. Shouldn't you be asking first? This is not the Amber I know.Anyways, avoid the buffet.

Four of us came her on Friday night. The food when finally arrived after a significant and noticeable delay was delicious but a bit cold. What saved us from starving was the crispy this bread which was salty as hell.My favorite of the dishes were the Nimbu Chicken appetizier which I had with Naan. I alsoreally like the sauce that srounded the Nutty Egg Plant dish. Rest of the stew dishes were too spicy to a point where it was hard to taste flavors. We also order rice which was a good combo with the stew dishes.Overall the service was too slow for a return visit.

Used to order all the time via pickup and uber eats. Will stop now since they're never open during their scheduled times and never answer calls.

Good food. Awesome taste. There were a great variety of options and both the veg and non veg options were delicious. The cocktails menu were extensive as well.Overall had a nice experience considering it was a week before Christmas and pretty crowded.

One of the great authentic Indian places in the Bay Area .Everything served here is of the highest quality and adheres to authenticity and freshnessOur favorite is their afternoon lunch buffet , the Santa Row location currently has Friday and weekend buffet and the Los Altos location has sat/sun buffetI would eat the buffet only for the endless goat curry and naanThe butter chicken and naan or butter chicken and rice is out of this world , again worth the price of the buffet for this aloneThe vegetarian entrees are spectacular, saag dishes are great , panned dishes are excellentIn general sauces are rich and flavorful and mildly spicyExcellent place for a celebration or conversation

A traditional Indian taste after a long time. I throughly enjoyed the chicken tandoori. The meat had the right amount of spice and tenderly cooked. Also the fried prawns were extremely cooked. The butter chicken was my favorite. I have tried in many restaurants and it was very creamy and not well cooked but in Amber, every aspect of butter chicken was awesome and the chicken was well cooked in the curry.

Taste is authentic and service is professional. Very nicely prepared food that taste like its been done by real chefs with lots of hard work. I've been returning a couple times in the past 7 years and their menu is pretty consistent. Recommending the chicken biriyani (bomb yogurt sauce), nimbu chicken, and garlic naan.

Worst food taste and super pricey . Nizam vegetable Handi is a disaster - full of half cooked broccoli pieces with dismal taste . Chicken biryani is the worst I have ever eaten in any Bay Area restaurant with gross taste . I advise them to pay fee bucks more and hire a decent chef . Stay out of this restaurant.

Chicken tikka masala was delicious. Bhel didn't have tamarind chutney and wasn't worth the $$$. Nizami veg handi had the largest broccoli and cauliflower pieces I have ever seen in an Indian dish occupying almost half of the container. Underwhelming quality and taste for the price in my opinion.

Amazing boneless chicken biryani. Best I’ve had in Bay Area. It might have extra masala for you so you might want to ask to reduce it. Spicy as well. Would recommend blindly.
