In the years dining at Anjappar, the food is consistently tasty and the staff is always welcoming and friendly. Most other places don't even compare. I hope to be a customer of Anjappar for many years to come!

I had an exceptional dining experience with great food and attentive service. The Onam sadya was absolutely delicious, offering a rich array of flavors and traditional dishes that truly felt like a grand feast. I make it a point to visit this place every week or order from home to enjoy their thali and savor their delectable non-veg options, which never fail to impress. Each meal is a delightful journey through authentic cuisine, making it my go-to spot for satisfying my cravings.

I ordered from this restaurant through Uber Eats, and honestly, I was disappointed with the portions and quality. The quantity was very small — some items felt like they were served in a 4 oz cup, which is not worth the high price they charge. I don’t mind paying more when the food is high quality, but here the quality doesn’t really justify the cost.

The rasam was good and flavorful, but the rest of the thali items were a hit or miss. The non-veg dishes, in particular, were not great. Overall, I don’t think the value matches the price, and I’d be hesitant to order again.

⭐⭐⭐⭐
Tried Chicken Lollipops, Mutton Biryani, and Chicken Kothu Parotta at Anjappar Chettinad Indian Restaurant. The Chicken Lollipops were very tasty and the Mutton Biryani had a nice, authentic flavor. However, I was disappointed with the Chicken Kothu Parotta – it wasn’t very fresh and both the meat and parotta were quite dry. As a customer, you always expect the authentic flavors that remind you of eating the same dish back in India. Hope this can be improved, but overall, it’s still a good place to try South Indian food.

Food had great taste but quantity seems lower than my previous visits. Seems like food shrinkflation

Chettinad cuisine wears its heart in its spice pot, and this plate proves it. The briyani, made with fragrant short-grain seeraga samba rice, is a revelation — each tiny grain holding its shape while soaking up the heady blend of cinnamon, cloves, and stone flower. It’s earthy, aromatic, and unmistakably Chettinad. The idli arrives like soft clouds on the plate, the perfect canvas to soak up the Paya — a peppery, slow-cooked mutton broth with layers of flavor built over hours.

To finish, the Nannari sarbath steps in as a cooling, herbal counterpoint — sweet, woody, and refreshing enough to reset the palate for round two. This is not just food; it’s the soulful rhythm of Chettinad cooking, plated with pride.

**Unsafe food**
I had a very disappointing experience with this restaurant. I drove 15 miles to pick up two gravies, only to come home and find that both were completely spoilt, the smell was awful and clearly indicated the food had gone bad. I tasted the food within 45 mins of pickup. It wasn’t just slightly off; it was inedible. I wasted time and money on gas.

When I called to inform them, there was no apology or concern, just a casual “okay, I’ll ask the manager to refund.” That’s not the kind of response you expect when serving unsafe food to customers.

Food safety is non-negotiable, and so is basic courtesy. I won’t be returning, and I’d advise others to be cautious.
