Wow how this place has deteriorated- we visited yesterday Labor Day Monday- I had once upon a time written an excellent review of their food- and now- the food quality is just okay but what is WORSE is their TERRIBLE SERVICE - the girl who is at the cashier is RUDE, CURT, ACTS AS THOUGH we are committing a crime by showing up and that SHE IS DOING US A FAVOR BY TAKING OUR ORDER- COMPLETELY UNHELPFUL, UNSMILING, OUTRIGHT RUDE - when I asked a simple question about an order. When asked about a drink, she snaps back we don’t have it today! Someone please REMOVE HER- SHE IS UNHAPPY!!!!
Also they no longer even have a jug of water outside - nothing!
Another note- they produce a lot of waste even when you’re not taking your food to go- single use containers are just trashed.
I’m not going here again- definitely not to face that cashier UGH!

The food is very ordinary, not tasty at all.

The service is so so. You order through your phone by scanning the QR code, no human involved. After being seated at one table and ordering, we were blandly asked to move to a different table. They don't accept more than one credit card.

We had the best experience with Annapoorna catering for our wedding. Milind was super responsive and helpful and helped us pull off our last minute wedding catering with amazing ease! Highly highly recommend! Our guests loved and praised each and every food item we ordered from this place.

We have also had food from their restaurant numerous times and loved each dish.

In short, this restaurant has an amazing menu, a lot of variety (both in restaurant and for catering), and one of the best catering experiences overall. Kudos to Milind and his team!

Annapoorna might look like a small, unassuming hole-in-the-wall — the kind most people mistake for yet another South Indian restaurant — but here’s the twist: it’s proudly and unapologetically Marathi.

We pretty much went on a menu conquest, ordering most of what they had to offer, but the clear showstoppers for me were the puri with shrikand and the puri with basundi. The shrikand was silky, cardamom-kissed, and just sweet enough to make each bite of the puffed, golden puri feel like a celebration. The basundi was slow-cooked luxury — watery, nutty, and the kind of comfort that makes you linger over the last spoonful or a cup.

This isn’t a place trying to impress with fancy décor or Instagram plating — it’s about honest, home-style Marathi flavors that hit straight to the heart. And once you’ve had their puris, you’ll know exactly why Annapoorna is in a league of its own.

Vada paav n grill sandwich was too good. Vada paav can be little bigger in size .

Wet there seeing all the good reviews but was a pretty disappointing experience. First, the food took forever to arrive, seems they were understaffed. There was layer of oil floating on top of the bhaji in pav bhaji, the choice and the Vada power over the salty, and the Bombay Frankie was undercooked and tasteless.

Authentic Maharashtrian Zunka and Varan. Ukadiche Modak are yummy and fresh.
Thali is great as you get to choose 2 currys if your choice. Especially loved their service. Jacob was prompt and courteous.

We visited this restaurant a few days ago and, unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. The food was bland and poorly cooked – my dish was cold in the middle, and the flavors just didn’t come together. We were really looking forward to trying this place, but nothing stood out in a good way.

The staff was polite, but that couldn't make up for the poor food quality. I hope they take this feedback seriously and work on improving their recipes and quality control.

The best Maharashtrian restaurant in the Bay Area! Every dish on the menu is delicious, made to perfection, and served with even more hospitality. Love their expanded Chaat menu.
