The oxtail is so good. The cheese being blowtorched to melt it is a fun performance, but the flashy presentation still doesn't overshadow the quality of the food. Meat is super tender, the sauces are sweet and savory.

Ordered their regular oxtail stew dish . It arrived with lots of bones and barely meet. Most of the dish was rice and sauce. Was disappointing.

The food here is as everybody says, amazing. The kalbijjim is delicious, other side dishes and noodles are tasty as well.

However the large place is $92, for that price you really don't get much protein, It can realistically feed two people. For the same money you could've gotten three 12oz steak at roadhouse.

The food is amazing, the value is just not great.

Barely any meat in the kalbi jjim despite the high price tag. Only had a few pieces and mostly were bones and tendons. Quite a disappointing experience despite having high expectations

First timers from New Zealand 🇳🇿 our friends locals in San Francisco took us here and what an experience! Nothing like this at home so what a treat - thank you Daeho 😎

Obviously, their iconic Daeho Kalbi Jjim tastes good. Definitely more on the sweet side, but quite authentic to kalbi jjim I've had in Korea. I also got their naemmyeon (sorry if I spelled it wrong). It was tasty and cold, but the portion is huge! Hard for 1 person to finish. Their banchan (kimchis) were lacking. They don't give much and they didn't taste very good. Kind of like if you made kimchi from home not realizing it'll take a couple days to get the proper fermented taste. Staff was attentive and handled the long lines and crowded restaurant well. However, THERE IS NO AC! PLACE WAS SO HOT!!! Be ready to sweat just from heat. I like the music choice though. Had some Big Bang playing and some other pre-BTS popular Kpop. Would I go again? Probably not. You save money making kalbi jjim at home. But it's a nice little experience.

Dine-in May 2025: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ We ordered the Seolleong Tang and the Creamy Gye Ran Jim and they were both excellent. Service was good and the banchan was good. Highly recommend for those two dishes.

Take-out December 2022: ⭐⭐ I love the flavor, but our order of Kalbijjim was super heavy with cheese and then when we tried to get to the ribs all the meat was so tough to eat. There were so many bones and no tender pieces of meat. Quality of food has gone downhill and I would not recommend eating here. I ordered so many times before throughout the pandemic and the last few times here and in SF have been truly underwhelming. So sad because the flavor is there, not the meat quality. I cannot believe I didn't Almost $100 and got too much cheese and bones with very little tender pieces of meat. ⭐ for meat quality.

Dine-in September 2022: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love the Kalbi Jjim, but the bibimbap did not have the charred rice on the lava bowl and it did not have enough sauce so it was under seasoned. Everything else was great.

Some really good Korean food here. Usually a line outside before they even open. Usually have to get on a wait-list before getting sat down. If you are in a rush to eat, might not want to go here... But if you do go here, be prepared to be like wow!

If you get today galbi jim, make sure you get the cheese on top melted by a torch. There bone soup comes in bunch of different varieties, and I can't seem to figure out which one of my fav because they ask taste the business.

Some seats are too close to the toilet. Please address this problem. Otherwise it is an absolute 5 star

Don’t go here. The wait staff spoke behind our back in korean without thinking my wife was Korean and could understand them.

All the hot food with burner under or sizzling plates are highly recommended. Otherwise the other including bibimbap can skip. Mine came without the egg too, not sure if it's because the egg price lately. Ha.
