Known for their menu family-style plates to share, Daeho brings quality Korean food to the Bay Area. Make sure to enjoy the food while it’s hot because as it cools it becomes more thick and heavier to eat.

Doh Gal Jjim / braised short rib + ox tendon (~$110 for large with add ons of mozzarella cheese, potato noodles, and rice cakes): shared this between 3 people and was not able to finish it. The presentation was amazing – the staff bring it in a hot stone bowl and blow-torch the cheese in front of you. The meat is extremely tender and juicy due to it being braised. We got the highest spice level and it was perfect – it made an impact but not overbearing to the point where it ruined the meal. The potatoes and caramelized onions were great complements to the beef. The ox cartilage was extremely gooey but I wish they added more.

Spicy Kalbitang ($24 for regular size): flavorful and refreshing soup that would taste amazing on a cold day. Broth was light and great salt levels – never fell flat on flavor.

Kalbi Ttoek-bokki ($13): basically the same sauce and seasoning as the Kalbijjik dishes but a smaller portion to share if you want to try other menu items.

Had to make a Yelp reservation in advanced, and upon arrival to confirm the reservation, had to wait for about 20 minutes. The restaurant is small in size but relies on a quick turnover rate and quick service to host many guests. The staff even pack up the food for you with their own sealed containers. I would go here maybe once or twice a year to celebrate with family or friends but the wait time deters me from coming back more frequently.

First time eating here to try their signature Beef Kalbi Jjim. It didn't disappoint. The stew of potato, carrot, radish and tender beef ribs was delicious. With flavors like that can only mean one thing, it was braised long and slow. Our entree came with Banchan vegetables and optional purple rice. We ordered two for our group of seven It was more than enough to satisfy our hunger. Although it's expensive, with the amount of beef in the dish, it was priced accordingly. Please note that they don't take reservations for large groups. There is a waitlist for that so come early if you have a group larger than six. Yes, there is a line and food is worth the wait.

Daeho Kalbijjim and Beef Soup offers an unforgettable Korean dining experience. The kalbijjim is incredibly tender and flavorful, with just the right amount of spice to enhance the rich, savory sauce. The beef soup is equally impressive, with a hearty broth that's deeply satisfying and packed with deliciously soft beef. The portions are generous, perfect for sharing with friends or family. The atmosphere is warm and bustling, adding to the overall enjoyment of the meal. For anyone craving authentic and expertly prepared Korean cuisine, Daeho is a must-visit!

The food tastes great and I come here often, but please pay attention to processing food. Finding a label in my food at the end was really disgusting.

Not a patch on the one in SF that I went to. We were on the waiting list and by the time they seated us you could tell they wanted everyone out asap. If you need to close that badly then maybe close the waiting list earlier. Food was still pretty good but not as good as their other locations.

Daeho used to be one of our regular restaurants. Unfortunately I have to leave this review after what I saw today.

While waiting for our food we witnessed multiple employees standing on the same counter where food is prepared. The counter was barely cleaned afterward, they just wiped it with the same cloth they used to wipe everything including the tables. It’s so gross to think they’re basically wiping the floor with that cloth. On top of that they immediately prepared the food on top of the counter after barely cleaning it and with the same gloves for everything.

Great food, the kalbijim that we had was delicious with lots of flavorful veggies and beef. I appreciate that they adjust the level of spiciness

I eat here about once or twice a month. But today, when I got my takeout, it was all beef bones. It's a stark difference from before. I don't know what happened. I also added a lot of other ingredients, so the portion size was significantly reduced.
