The braised ribs are delicious, but expensive. The msg flavor of the soup was too strong. It's difficult to order by phone. The staff did not even accept Junhwawa. Do you feel like business is so good that you don’t need to receive it?

I had high hopes for Daeho given the numerous glowing reviews. Unfortunately, the overall taste left much to be desired, especially at the high price point it was at. $23 for a kalbi tang was pretty atrocious, especially given how it was completely void of the kalbi flavor and had the wrong noodles. Kalbi tang would typically use the thinner vermicelli (glass) noodles that are used in japchae instead of the flat and wide ones. Not only did the noodles throw me off, but again, the lack of kalbi and umami flavor that is a signature flavor in kalbi tang was a surprise that fell rather short of my expectations. The kalbi jjim was a-okay. The large did feed about 3-4 people as the menu mentioned, but despite the abundance of seasoning there was a lack of that kalbi and umami flavor. The kalbi jjim also felt not quite sweet enough.Perhaps my disappointment is due to the fact that I've been spoiled by the amazing Korean food in KTown LA, but I can say without a doubt that both dishes I tried out at Daeho fell very short of my expectations and I did not understand the hype around it and long wait at all. Also, be prepared to be overwhelmed by the loudness and the lack of air conditioning.

We came here for lunch and had a good meal. The service was quick, but we were given dirty cups and utensils and had to ask for new ones. We ordered the kalbijjim, kalbi tang, and chadol. Everything was good, but our favorite item that we ordered was the kalbijjim. This meal was quite pricy for a lunch, but the quality of ingredients was definitely good. Would definitely come back again for the kalbijjim!

My daughter and I ordered Kalbi bibimbap. There were more onions than there were pieces of kalbi meat in both our foods. I asked for more meat, at which they brought a side dish with more pieces of meat. The meat tasted like raw meat that they just placed in a pan with no seasonings or marinade. I spoke to the manager about the awful, unconsumed meat that I should not be charged for. He agreed to take the meat off the check and that since he’s giving me free meat, asked me to not leave a review. It is not about the money, it is about the food and the experience! I did not eat the meat and it was very obvious that there’s preferential treatment in this restaurant!

The beef soup is still delicious. It's a pity that the kimchi is too salty, and I feel that the kimchi has lost the quality it should have maintained.

Came here before noon on Saturday and was seated immediately. Decor was modern, water already set on the table for everyone, four banchan served after ordering; kimchi, scallions, radish and jalapeno peppers. My friend and I ordered the Kalbi Jjim, regular. It was amazing. Not disappointed at all and it was served with carrots, daikon, potatoes, onions, rice cakes, and short ribs. It was so large that we had leftovers for take out. Price was 80+ but worth!

Worth the wait!! There was a line already formed when we arrived for dinner on a weekday, so I recommend going early. You're given the menu first outside while waiting so that you order before entering the restaurant. I guess this is to help speed up the flow of getting customers in and out.Once we got inside all the banchan side dishes were already laid out and our starch that we ordered outside was also already at our table. Setting was homey and they played KPOP. It was loud in there, so I had to raise my voice to talk to my friend. Servers were prompt and quick with request. It was easy to get a servers attention if needed.I ordered pumpkin rib bone broth soup. Soup was really flavorful, deep in meat umaminess! The ribs were fall off the bone and they actually seasoned the meat, it wasn't just a bland boiled piece of meat. Friend ordered the Brisket Seolleotang and he said it was really good. The side dishes were so good, especially the kimchi. Kimchi was so good, I ended up buying it Togo!Highly recommend this place if you want good Korean milk bone soup! They are also known for their cheese ribs, but that's for the next visit!

This was my first time eating Korean bbq and wow was I amazed. The beef was super tender, the seafood was ok point, and the melted cheese was phenomenal! Try not to get full off the appetizers, because they are also so filling! It was great service to already have the appetizers/water present in the table as soon as we walked up to the table. The ambiance was lovely as well, it was more of an intimate "vibe" to the place which made it seem upscale.Long story short, I highly recommend this place with a group of friends because the portions are large and your belly will be larger after this :)

===== [Overview] =====Daeho is a great place to eat at if you're looking for a hearty meal in Milpitas or San Mateo. They specialize in their galbitang soups and their large bowls of galbijjim. If you were to scroll through social media, you would see plenty of videos of their famous cheese topped galbijjim.========================= [Restaurant] ====You can find this place situated in the middle of a plaza, where the area is bustling with a lot of traffic. Don't worry about making the wrong turn because the area is huge and there is plenty of parking.Sometimes the restaurant will have their yelp check-ins open but I've found it mostly closed and you have to queue up for a table through their waiter or tablet at the front. It's been different each time I've come here. The wait is usually 45 minutes to an hour so try to arrive half an hour earlier because it does get busy fast. The service is pretty fast since a lot of the meals are prepped earlier. I have never waited too long for my meal but the fast-paced environment means you also finish up fast after you finish eating.=========================== [Food] =======The food here is delicious but I've only found their specialties as the best thing on their menu. I've found their kimchi more on the salty and sour side and not to my preference.Recommendations:- [Kalbijjim]: Braised Beef Belly. Very saucy and caramelized. It's a sweet dish with carrots, potatoes, and onions. You can customize it to be spicy (pretty spicy and the burning kind). They're famous for the melted cheese on top and that does come as an extra with a great show for instagram.- [Kalbitang]: A staple for the restaurant. Comes with flat potato noodles, different than the usual round noodles.- [Cha Dol Seollongtang]====================

Thank goodness for Yelps waitlist to make getting a table here super easy!. They'll have you look at the menu outside and can start your order before you're seated. And then food comes out quickly. Our group of 3 ordered the large of the kalbijjim in mild spice and it was perfect to share and we had some remaining to take home. Meat was super tender, there's rice cakes and potatoes, we also got cheese added and it made for nice texture.

This spot has been on my bookmark list for a while, but it was always so crowded. We got there right when they opened on a Sunday morning and beat the crowds. While they're obviously known for their kalbijim (braised beef topped w/ cheese), we opted for the kalbi tang (beef rib soup). The broth was so amazing! Simple yet rich flavors. The beef was so tender it almost fell apart. We also got the hot stone bibimbap with beef. The veggies were fresh and flavorful. I could eat that dish with just the veggies, it was that good. My fave part was the crispy rice at the bottom of the hot pot.Service has been good both times we went. Staff were attentive and we got our food in a timely manner.Because this shop is tucked in the corner of the strip mall flanked by Grocery Outlet and Paris Baguette, parking can be a challenge. Not just trying to find a spot, but avoiding the crappy drivers. But it's worth the effort when you try the food.
