They had lion dancers there for lunar new years. Make sure to come early if you come here on Sunday because the place fills up quick!

Their full menu is quite large (182 mains, 3 deserts, 6 beverages), but I did not order any as I came for Yum Cha (飲茶). The Dim Sum (點心) selection has a fair amount of variety and the ones I had tasted ok.

Very authentic Chinese/Cantonese cuisine. The dim sums are great. Golden Sun Palace serves 4 Ha Grows in one oder. Other restaurants have shrinkflation and have only 3 in an order. The dinner is great as well. There are set dinners with various combinations.

Golden Sun Palace is my go-to spot for dim sum. I visited on a Sunday morning for a family breakfast.

Food: Ordering was straightforward – a limited a la carte system here. You just choose from the menu, point out the dishes and quantities, and they bring it to you. Everything we tried was delicious, fresh, and perfectly crispy if it was fried. No complaints about the food!

Service: Service was typical for a dim sum place. The staff didn’t check in much, but they kept our tea refilled, and they seated us right away when we arrived. Overall, service was just fine.

Atmosphere: Surprisingly, it was less crowded than I’d expect for a Sunday morning dim sum place, which was a nice change. There was plenty of space between tables, and the decor felt like a classic family-style Chinese restaurant.

Overall, I’d definitely come back for dim sum. Ordering from a menu felt quicker and simpler than waiting for carts. For groups, about two dishes per person is a good amount. I’ll be back!

I’m so glad we made this place our quick go to dim sum place. We’ve been here 3 times for brunch this year and the food is consistently good, the service is typical Chinese restaurant, the prices very reasonable . We are not rushed and the whole experience is always pleasant.
There’s not too many Hong Kong Cantonese style dim sum restaurants left in San Jose. Covid killed so many places and many people retired from this labor intensive, long hours business. Also I feel that millennial Asian American are a lot more health conscious than their parents. So dim sum might not longer be as popular as before Covid.
We enjoyed occasional brunch with our kids & grandkids. We meet at Glolden Sun Palace and everyone is happy here.

The food was great, with really great dim sum, especially the pork shumai, which was a standout. The service was okay, as many of the servers didn't speak English, making communication a bit challenging. Despite that, the quality of the food made it a worthwhile visit.
