Congee is pretty good. The noodles of lobster are hard to chew.
they have great private dining room and set menu options if you have a group and are hosting an event, banquet, celebration, etc. even my mom was impressed by the food, and her bar is quite high. bravo to HL Milpitas - thank you!!
separately - the dim sum is great
and important to some, perhaps: high ceilings, well lit, very clean compared to some of its competitors!

Food: Roasted duck is not fully cooked!!!
Service: The servers make us feel like we owe them a million dollars.
Atmosphere: The tables are placed very close together, so the space was a bit cramped.

Large variety of dim sums. Typical large Chinese restaurant noise level (high) since there is a large main hall where most people sit and the hubbub echos.

Service: 1⭐ . If you don't have friends working there, don't expect good service. We have to ask 3 times for hot sauce. 4 time for follow up an order that we have to wait over 30mins for them to figure out the order was enter for the wrong table and no service recovery for their mistakes.
Food: 5⭐, so if you don't mind of the bad service, we recommend it for the food and variety of choices.
Forgot to mention, 16% service fee will be automatically added, so you can't even tip them less if you are not satisfied with the service 😡
Bad service, we asked for something, the waiter acknowledged, walked away and ignored you like nothing happened. The 18% tips is automatically added to the bill.

My husband and I went here for dim sum yesterday morning and the only thing more memorable than the food was how freezing the restaurant was. It was uncomfortably cold the entire time. The dishes turned cold almost immediately, which completely ruined the eating experience.
When we got home, my husband felt sick from how cold it was inside. It was so bad that I saw one of the servers wearing a wool coat over his uniform. If your own staff needs winter clothing indoors, that is a serious problem.
The food and service were decent, but the owner’s apparent attempt to save money on air conditioning is ridiculous and unacceptable. Guests and employees should not have to suffer through a meal.

Lunch dim sum dishes all tasted about the same. Regular dishes are huge but quality is in par at best.

Too chaotic, staff gave the wrong food to our table on multiple occasions, granted it was incredibly busy but still.. so disappointing food was generic. Huge language barrier and miscommunication.. hard to understand wouldn’t recommend unless you are really really into Chinese cuisine and can speak Chinese.

Food was delicious, good variety for everyone's palate and plentiful. Large space to accommodate our team of 13 people and a baby. Its reasonable and was divided amongst our team. Good atmosphere. Food tastes fresh and the staff were friendly and enesure our needs were met. We will return.
