My fiancee and I were at McCarthy Ranch over the weekend and noticed that Happi House was running a $8.99 promotion for a spicy ahi tuna poke bowl so naturally we had to stop in and try it. The poke bowl had good portion sizes-there was a nice helping of both white rice and ahi tuna. The sauce they put on top was spicy, but wasn't too overwhelming or anything. For $8.99, it couldn't be beat as this is much less expensive than what other places charge for poke. I am not sure how long this promotion will last or if this will be a permanent menu item, but it was really popular item while we were eating. Several other people came in and ordered the same thing. It was our first time there, and I was impressed on how fast the food came out. The bathrooms were actually clean, however customer could be improved. The woman taking our order barely mumbled enough words to take our order. However, we will be back as long as they continue selling $8.99 poke bowls. Yum!

So not happy. I bit down on a piece of chicken, and wondered what was hard in it. Spit out my bite, lo and behold there was a small piece of metal in the chicken. I now need to go to the dentist to make sure my tooth was not cracked by this piece of metal.

I love this place BUT HOPEFULLY THE NEW OWNERSHIP READ REVIEWS and try to better these things The chicken is not as juicy as it used to be Do they cook it longer now ?? Maybe they marinate it to long ?? Or is it sitting after cooked to long? I know they changed the butter mix for the tempura That was also better before How about the rolls for the sandwiches? They are SO DRY !!!! They seam very old maybe warm them up or do something with them before they serve them Oh and they no longer have the comment cards for you to exprese your opinion I'm still giving them 4 stars hopefully they better their food
Food is fine. Tastes good and price is good. BUT man it felt like a retirement home in there. No music and painfully awkward silence throughout my whole meal. I didn't even want to talk to my boyfriend because then everyone else would hear our conversation clearly through the silence. Actually a retirement home might be less awkward.

Two stars because the place is always so dirty. I love the food and it is always on point. But the tables are always nasty. They're hardly ever wiped down. And if they are, there's obvious streaks like if they just used a wet rag to remove the crumbs, instead of some kind of cleaner or disinfectant. I suppose I should wonder about the cleanliness of the back, where the food is actually prepared, especially if the front looks so sketch. I'd say get your food to go so you don't have to eat inside. It seems they give you more when you dine in, however. Oh, also, there was no music or anything playing in the background. It was awkwardly silent inside. It was warm too. And during this summer heat, they really should spring to turn the AC on. And there's always a friend or family member of one of the workers just hanging around. Another awkward thing- so just order and leave. I know a few of the other Happi House locations have closed down, so I have to come here. I really like the salad and the beef rice and the chicken. I grew up on this stuff, so it's a staple. I just wish this location was cleaner.
