We were looking forward for dining here. However received very poor service. The server ordered the wrong item for us and insist he was right. And he was not able to provide the original menu we ordered with. Overall very bad experience in terms of service. Ruining the good food here.

The environment is very noisy. The elderly man at the front desk has a very bad attitude. He just throws the drinks on the table when I ask for them. I will never go there again.

Terrible service. We made reservations for 11am and was told no table available and just have to wait. They need to learn what reservation meant before open their business.

A nice Chinese dim sum restaurant, spacious, seatings are comfortable.

Dim sum sheet order type of style here. We came here when they open! Didn’t see any push carts.

Dim sum is hit or miss here.
Don’t get the ha gaw or sui mai. They looked like they got them from a factory. Not handmade.

Chicken feet were big and had a good flavor.
The black/ brown sugar sponge cake was great.

Mixed ox intestines with daikon radish was ok.

Cheung fun (rice rolls) with fried dough was pretty good. Also the rice rolls with beef was good too.

After a long day, we had a wonderful experience at Koi Palace in Milpitas thanks to Kevin. He was kind, attentive, and made sure everything went smoothly throughout our visit. Beyond just great service, Kevin was genuine and personable (he seems like the kind of person we’d want to hang out with at the end of the day). Truly a standout and made our dining experience that much better!

Thanks, Kevin!

Food is excellent. Big variety. More people in party = more variety. Pricey

Koi Palace is one of the most popular dim sum spots in the area. It can be a bit pricey, but the food is solid - with a wide variety and some unique dim sum dishes you won’t find at your typical restaurant.

The wait time can be ridiculous, lol. And yes, the service is awful, but to be fair… that’s kind of the norm for all the good Chinese restaurants around here.

Typical Koi chain .
Good food , on the pricey end , and do not disappoint!

Koi palace ambience was great and location too. Service was not great at all, I felt the servers didn't want to listen at all since there was a natural language barrier. But please note I actually have been to similar places even some restaurants right next door where restaurants have made me feel really welcome, and I didn't feel the language barrier as such. Food was average, may be the selections that were made not the best, will look forward to give another shot with few other food types and it is 2nd time lucky. Ordered mostly shrimp and pork dimsums, along with crab fried rice and chicken noodles. These food items will not warrant a 2nd visit, similar tasting food options are available galore.
