I recently went to this spot in Milpitas I was in a mood for Hawaiian food I was just in hawaii in August. Super disappointed with the chicken, Katsu, and the shrimp.plate shrimp is soggy and not cooked all the way it's chicken Katsu with over cooked and super hard he only good thing with the macaroni salad. Even the rice was dry. I paid a lot for one plate almost $20 and even the sauce was super not good. I will not be going back here again. I almost called them to tell them how bad my meal was.it was terrible don't go

food was good, service was good (if you see joseph, the asian dude with short/medium hair that works in the front, make sure to give him a good tip, he is very respectful and kind). the waiting time was short too.

First of all, let me say that the service was kind and friendly. I went with my daughter, who the employees engaged with in a sweet manner from entrance to exit. It helped that we were the only customers, but for the employees to be so engaged at a slow time says something about the establishment. Now, the location is old and not the cleanest. But L&L has always been more of a grab n' go place. For the 20+ years I've been to these restaurants, from Southern to Northern California, I've rarely seen people eat in them. None of them have been very clean. We come for the generous portions, macaroni salad and luau luau pork they cook upon order.

Ordered 2 regular chicken katsu and waited about 20-25min. I understand that food can take awhile to finish cooking, but the fact that when I got home and both katsu were completely burned and overcooked was very disappointing after a long week. I don't mind waiting but if the food is barely edible then I don't understand why it took so long. Maybe they needed extra time to burn the food.

Ah, L&L Hawaiian Barbecue - a delightful treasure nestled in the heart of Milpitas. I've dined here numerous times, and I'm constantly impressed by the consistency and quality of their meals. My go-to dish is the succulent pulled pork, which is slow-cooked to perfection, tender to the bite and imbued with a rich, smoky flavor that's incomparable. But what truly sends this dish to stratospheric heights is the perfectly cooked cabbage it's served with - an oft-ignored side that L&L manages to turn into a star. The combination is, in a word, sublime. Now, a quick tip for my fellow spice enthusiasts - a dollop of Sriracha on this divine pork really kicks it up a notch, transforming it from fantastic to near perfect. The fiery heat adds an unexpected twist to the palate, further elevating the flavor profile of the dish.L&L's noodle salad deserves a special mention too. It's delightfully refreshing and offers the perfect balance of textures, making for a great side dish or even a light meal on its own.Last but not least, my wife is a huge fan of their shrimp salad. She's currently on a keto diet, and she says this dish fits her dietary needs perfectly while also tasting absolutely delicious. It's a guilt-free pleasure that doesn't compromise on flavor or satisfaction.Every visit to L&L Hawaiian Barbecue feels like a mini-vacation to the islands, with their warm hospitality and authentic, mouth-watering dishes. If you're ever in Milpitas and craving a taste of the tropics, I cannot recommend this place enough!

The short cashier lady was very nice and helped me decide what I wanted to order. The food came out delicious and fresh. Good place to stop by and go quick, even with a lot of people coming in.

Customer service here needs an overhaul but the food is always fresh. Nothing really stands out from all of the other Hawaiian bbq spots around but for the price and quality it beats fast food

Food is amazing and the customer service here is always kind and friendly. They can get really busy but they always make sure every customer gets their food accurately and they always bring it out as soon as possible so no one has to wait too long usually unless it's a really busy time of day then yeah, they still do their best to bring the food to all their customers with a smile and a completely professional vibe. I think people love coming here because of this sort of experience they get every single time and the food always exceeds expectations.
