The outside might look like a boring strip mall but inside there is some delicious food! I went for brunch and got the chorizo hash, yummmmmmyyy. I also drive their wine margarita. Very sweet and delicious. Kids menu is good too. Great service while on a busy Sunday! Can't wait to go back. They're Mexican hot coco is perfect as well. And best of all they carried Cholula (personal fav, I'm sad when places only carry Tabasco)

Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. Small kids menu but does the job. My tiny human was happy w it.

Great mexican place to dine in Milpitas. They have old school decor which feels warm and welcoming. Service is great.

The portion sizes are huge, I always have to carry my left overs.

I got regular burrito which was pretty huge.

Highly recommend this place to dining in.

Vegetarian Taco: Expected a flavorful vegetarian taco, but it turned out to be quite average. We had specifically requested fajita veggies instead of meat, yet there were barely any vegetables inside—mostly just lettuce on the side. The lack of well-seasoned veggies made it underwhelming.

Chips & Salsa: The complimentary chips and salsa were a nice touch. The chips were crisp, not too oily, and had just the right amount of salt—better than what many other places serve.

Ambience: A decent setup with a comfortable dining space, nothing particularly special but good for a casual meal.

Service: The service was good, with staff being attentive and friendly throughout the visit.

Overall, the experience didn’t quite live up to the positive reviews, mainly due to the lackluster vegetarian taco.

Vegetarian options: Decent vegetarian options

I am a vegetarian and I trust this food a 100% for it not to contain any non-veg ingredient like chicken broth etc. The vegetarian food is very tasty. We have tried burritos, enchiladas, chilli relleno and they were all good. It is kept clean, and wait times for getting food after ordering are short.

I have enjoyed LaMilpa's food for the past 35 to 40 years . I first learned of LaMilpa when a group of people with whom I worked and I would come in every couple of months for lunch. I came back again and again and brought my family. We lived in the Saratoga area, so the visits weren't as often as they might have been. Twenty years ago we moved to Sunnyvale. When Mexican food is suggested there is only one place to go ... La Milpa. The chile rellano is my favorite and they serve the most flavorful beans you will ever wrap your mouth around. Everyone there has always been pleasant and helpful. I will return as iften as I can.

This is a very long, family owned pillar of the neighborhood. I've been going to La Milpa since the 1990s. It's a fast casual dining experience. Traditional Mexican food restaurant where everything is just as you expect and the people are great.

Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. They have high chairs.

Wheelchair accessibility: Seating for wheel chairs.
