It was my second time here and the food didn’t disappoint. The wait time was less than 10 minutes in a Thursday night.

Tried the new Mala Town in Milpitas. The place is big and clean, which is always a plus. The malatang was solid — I really liked the dry one with peanut sauce. Ingredients were fresh, and the staff were super nice. Overall, a pretty good spot. I’d come back.

Mala Town actually has delicious and spicy malatang! I've been to many malatang places in the Bay Area and around the world, but I find that a lot of places in the Bay aren't spicy enough for me even when ordering the hottest level. The Sichuan broth here is absolutely delicious and perfectly spicy! All the ingredients were fresh and there was a great selection both for the malatang and for the sauce bar. This might just be my new favorite malatang place!

Previously only tried YGF Malatang, but a friend put me on Mala Town in the same plaza. Love the soup and options for your malatang. Personal favorite is the cheese filled tofu and wide hot pot noodles. No weight limit like YGF, just $15.99/lb. Have come a lot after my first time.

The taste is okay, as long as you don’t mind the bugs😂

We ordered a pick up order—- they did not put any broth or seasoning in it. Ridiculous!

Update: I received your emails about the refund a week ago, but no refund has been issued yet

Really really really pretty food. I go there about 7 times a month because of the food quality. I would recommend to add more meat selection. I am not saying they have very few selection, they do have a good choice of meat just that more would be helpful. I was first hesitant to go there when it first opened, but it didn’t disappoint me at all. You can’t deny that the pricing is right and food by seeing the long line of customers every single day. Yes, every time that I go there, they are crowded.

I don’t know if that’s possible but they could work on more spacing between customers’ tables. I felt kinda tight but not really a big deal since the food is good. Keep doing what you guys are doing.

Compared to YGF across the parking lot, Mala Town is missing Tong Ho , ramen style pork belly, You Tiou (fried dough stick), and pork stomach. They have pork intestine which is not as good for soup. There is no choice of spicyness level for the Szechuan soup which ends up being very spicy.
On the plus side they have some items that YGF doesn’t have: Fuzhou fishballs (meat in the middle) and tea eggs. They also have more choices on the condiment table, like Sacha sauce. And free sweet teas as well.
But overall I still prefer YGF.

Food is ok but the waiters are too slow. One waiter has to deal with both reserving the table and selecting ingredients for takeouts. The line is always long until 8.30 pm even on workday. Also the atmosphere is not so good as there are always many people blocking the hallway and generally noisy environments for conversations

So touching! Please this delicious! Great value for money! Restaurants taking over the Bay Area!
Not a soft article
I'm a guy who moved from LA
I have been suffering from the lack of delicious and cost-effective rice. I just eat ordinary rice.
This Amway [Spicy Mix] is really delicious! The taste is slightly spicy + peanut butter is really delicious
The store is very clean and the ingredients are fresh and plentiful
The lobster balls are particularly springy and the bamboo shoots are also very fresh~
If so, I recommend you not to miss it!
The snack table is also very rich, comparable to a hot pot restaurant
And when I think about such a hot pot meal, it might cost 60 per person.
And when I came out, I had a head full of hot pot smell...
I feel like this Malatang restaurant is really worth it! !

Awesome taste with fresh greens, yellows, meats and seafoods. Loved enjoying the food.

Post dine in, took some of it home and paired my next meal with some Matcha ice as dessert. Total blissful experience.

Kid-friendliness: Helpful with kids seating arrangements.
