Previously only tried YGF Malatang, but a friend put me on Mala Town in the same plaza. Love the soup and options for your malatang. Personal favorite is the cheese filled tofu and wide hot pot noodles. No weight limit like YGF, just $15.99/lb. Have come a lot after my first time.
Really really really pretty food. I go there about 7 times a month because of the food quality. I would recommend to add more meat selection. I am not saying they have very few selection, they do have a good choice of meat just that more would be helpful. Compared to YGF across the parking lot, Mala Town is missing Tong Ho , ramen style pork belly, You Tiou (fried dough stick), and pork stomach. They have pork intestine which is not as good for soup. There is no choice of spicyness level for the Szechuan soup which ends up being very spicy.
On the plus side they have some items that YGF doesn’t have: Fuzhou fishballs (meat in the middle) and tea eggs. They also have more choices on the condiment table, like Sacha sauce....
