Food was hot with huge portions. Very good. I shared a plate and we still didn't finish it (and I'm a bigger girl that likes to eat!). The service and place was just okay. I rather have excellent service with okay food and this was the exact opposite, but kinda worth it for the taste and price. TBH the service wasn't bad at all. Just so so.

It's a little pricey. However you get what you pay for. The biscuit was 3 times bigger than my hand in height. This food was absolutely amazing. The service was great.

This was my first time visiting this place. It's a solid option when you're craving diner food. The portions are large and well-seasoned.

One of its best features is that it makes its own hot sauces. All three are flavorful and vary in spiciness.

I didn't take many pictures because I was honestly focused on enjoying the food.

It's worth noting that the maple syrup served with the pancakes is warm, adding an extra touch of flavor.

The location is spacious and clean, although parking is limited. The staff members are very friendly.

I visited Black Bear Diner in Milpitas for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised by the friendly, welcoming atmosphere and the generous portion sizes. The interior has a cozy, rustic log-cabin style which gives the place a relaxed, family-friendly vibe. The staff greeted us warmly.

Went for breakfast today. Kinda wondered what happened. My eggs were way under cooked. Potatoes barely browned. I asked for gravy on the side for my chicken fried steak but was slathered all over it. My English muffin was steamed more than toasted. Limp and drowning in butter. Maybe it was an off day. They we also very busy so maybe the cooks were overwhelmed. I’ll try again soon. I don’t have a lot of patience premium price low quality food.

Toast and bacon was a bit burnt, disappointed. Other food tastes good. Black pepper sauce; original, chipotle & harbenaro is with eggs or scramble. Breakfast entrees shown are at $18 and $19. Coffee is $4. Service is good, with frequent coffee refill.

Words cannot describe the level of service from this location. Specifically our waitress Sandra. Not only did we feel like family, but the food was amazing. This is our go to breakfast place when in the Bay Area!

To Black Bear Diner Corporate,
On October 2nd, I placed an order with your restaurant through DoorDash. Before ordering, I called the location and asked why the Santa Maria Tri-Tip Steak meal was not on the DoorDash menu. The staff informed me they were not sure, but advised me to order another entrée of equal value. I then ordered the blackened salmon with hash browns and vegetables.
When my order arrived, I was very disappointed. The broccoli portion was extremely small and did not even fill the separate container it came in. The hash browns were cold and soggy, making them difficult to eat. The only item that came out well was the Santa Maria steak, which I did receive and enjoyed.
I also spoke with the manager, Elizabeth, who explained that many customers have requested the Santa Maria Tri-Tip to be available earlier in the day. She mentioned that corporate policy is to limit dinner items before 4 pm, but there is significant customer demand for this meal during the morning hours.
I want to strongly request that the Santa Maria Tri-Tip Steak be added to the DoorDash and morning menu options. As a loyal customer, I believe this would not only improve my experience but also meet the needs of many others who prefer this entrée earlier in the day.
This situation has been frustrating, and I hope corporate will take action to ensure both menu availability and food quality are improved.
