The food is really good, one of the best buffets in town. For sure

Unfortunately while grabbing lunch to support a local spot, this quickly became a disappointing experience overall. Very poor customer service and their rudeness makes this location a real letdown. Tried to make a change to the side of lunch meal but after I asked, her blunt attitude quickly came out. Future pass for me...

Terrible service and food! Ordered takeout and they mixed my vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes in one box. The lady staff member was rude when I complained. The food was also tasteless and disappointing. Customer respect and politeness are essential, and they clearly don't understand that. Won't be ordering from here again.

SHORT SUMMARY: Terrible experience: RUDE LADY STAFF, packed non-veg and vegetarian rolls together, and the food was subpar. Would not recommend this restaurant.
IN DEPTH :
I had a very disappointing and frustrating experience at this sushi restaurant. I placed a takeaway order for a non-vegetarian roll for my husband and a vegan roll for myself since I am allergic to meat. When we picked up the order, both rolls were placed in one box with the contents overlapping. This is completely unacceptable for someone with food allergies.
When we politely asked about this, the lady at the counter was incredibly rude and dismissive. She claimed that this is their standard practice, even for multiple dishes, unless explicitly asked for separate containers. I explained that I have never encountered this at any other restaurant and requested that they inform customers about their packaging methods in the future. Instead of acknowledging the feedback, she bluntly refused and insisted that it was our fault for not specifying.
Her attitude was shockingly unprofessional and showed a complete lack of understanding of basic customer service. To make matters worse, my husband tasted both rolls and found them to be subpar.
Overall, the poor packaging, RUDE SERVICE and low-quality food have left us extremely dissatisfied. I strongly advise others to avoid this place unless they improve their service and start listening to customer feedback.
super reasonably priced lunch specials, lots of seating, a great option for a friday coworker lunch outing

The food was good, but the service wasn't. The atmosphere of the place is dark and boring. I thought the cost wasn't inline with what you getCan't say as though I'd go back.

It doesn’t have number one of anything you can find in Bay Area, but the AYCE banchan more than make up for it. It’s overall an awesome place to eat!
We had a disappointing experience at the restaurant. The food was average and the service was very bad. We only gave 2 stars for the banchan bar. The lady who served us was very mean and gave us attitude when we tried to order our food. We decided to leave without eating after the lady's behavior ruined our night.

This was my 2nd time coming to this restaurant and it's very much safe to say, that this was my LAST!!!!!I very much encourage everyone considering to come to this restaurant to go across the street for better food and customer service. We arrived to the restaurant on a Saturday at 5pm (opening) with a reservation for a party of 8. When we got inside, there was only one other small family dining in. The lady (who is extremely rude, has no manners and poor customer service) showed us our reserved table which included a booth/chairs. Since our party has 2 pregnant women and a small baby, we asked the lady if it would be okay to move our reservation to a table that has all chairs so it would be easier for people to get in and get out considering their unlimited side bars and more importantly it's much easier and convenient for our 2 pregnant women. The lady was not accommodating telling us that the restaurant is saving the tables/chairs for parties of 10+ because it was the weekend. This made absolutely zero sense - the lady was clearly on some sort of power trip and LAZY because she did not want to move some tables around for us. She even mentioned that we could go to a different restaurant if we wanted too! In hindsight, we absolutely should have, but eventually, the lady got off her high horse and agreed that we can move to a different table with all chairs. After putting in our order, we went to the unlimited side bar to see what they had. One thing I noticed was that they discontinued offering JAPCHAE, all of the provided "unlimited items" are a much smaller portion than when I went a few months ago, and they no longer serve ice cream as a dessert.Such a bummer! But also, not surprised as this was a very poor showing of the restaurant which is a clear reflection of the rude and unprofessional lady working there! The lady working was also so slow at getting us our water! We also had to flag her down for all of the refills on tea... yikes!Anyways, if you want to come to this restaurant, please be prepared to pay for OVERPRICED food (each food item is about $18+), mediocre side bar, rude customer service, poor customer service, flag people down to get refills on drinks, and oh - the kicker - THEY CHARGE YOU FOR TAKE OUT CONTAINERS!!!! They charge $1 for a "big one" which is a standard take out container, and $0.50 for a "small one" which can barely fit anything. What an absolute joke!Don't be a fool and support this restaurant. I won't be coming back ever again and will absolutely be telling all my friends and family to not come either. If anyone knows of any customer service type classes that I can send to the lady working there, please don't hesitate to message me as I can relay the link to her!
We had lunch here in Feb 2023. They now have a panchan bar which is really neat, and the food was pretty good overall. Unfortunately, they have ridiculously strict and punitive rules 8n an effort to control costs. For example, everyone in your party must order at least $15 of food or no one at the table can go to the panchan bar. They specify that this includes children, and further specify that this includes all children 35" or taller. I wonder if they'll actually get out a yardstick if you dare order your 5 year old less than $15 of food. They also charge for leftover containers. I get doing that "for the environment", but $2 for a plastic soup container is a bit steep.Lastly, on our visit, the service was curt. Our server made sure to point out the rules just in case we had missed them.To management: if you have customers abusing the panchan bar, consider charging separately for it and lowering the price of the entrees a bit. That would be a better experience than the gestapo feel of strict rules.
