We were there for the first and last rime. Salad is a little bowl of a few pieces of green lettuce with sprinkled oil. Coke is a can of coke and a straw. Miso soup is with a few hair-noodles. Green tea - is a mag of hot water with a teabag. Rice is mushy with sweet boullion. Prices are high, the food is garbage. Music- is a radio so loud, you cannot hear each other seating next. All place smells like at the kitchen with burning onions.

Do not waste your time and money!

It's been a long time since I've been here. the staff is very friendly. They were quick to serve our food. We came right before lunch was closing but they didn't pressure us to hurry and leave. I'm definitely taking my family back to here.

I hadn't been to Pepper Lunch in 8 years-- and I had to come back to tell y'all it is just as good as you remember (+ way better than Sizzling Lunch!)

I went on a Friday evening, but there was no line at 5:30 right when they opened. Even leaving at 6:30, the restaurant was medium-full. I remember having to queue up for hours, seems to not be the case anymore.

I stuck with my classic, #1 Beef Pepper Rice. Is it just me, the portion seems even bigger now?! They still give the extra garlic butter on request which is always my favorite part. I've seen some reviews talk about the meat quality going down-- to be honest it felt the same to me. I had no complaints there.

The prices really haven't been hit by inflation all that much, my #1 was only ~$15 pre-tax/tip. Considering it's been 8 years since my last visit, this is not a big change at all!

I value Pepper Lunch for their prices and maintained quality. Still a pillar of the community in my opinion!

I like to add one egg on it to make it more tasty.

Diner beware. This location is not official location of the Pepper Lunch chain, so the offerings may look the same, do not expect it to measure up to the real thing. Was this an official location and refused to change the name when the real thing pulled out of Norcal? I’ve frequented Pepper Lunch overseas as well as the Las Vegas and Alhambra locations, and this does have the same look and feel, and nor do they make an effort to make that distinction.
