Best Indian food I’ve ever had

A relatively new location for another Amber Indian restaurant. This one specializes in catering but also provides nice on-site dining. The food selection is really good with a lot of vegetarian choices. The service is very friendly. The chef even came out after our dinner to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. Warmly recommended!

The price and taste doesn't match! Taste is very different from SF Amber!

OMG! This place is very depressing. The vegetable kofta is actually malai kofta with too much sweet gravy. We ordered tadka daal, but they gave us yellow daal instead. Also, their waiter asked for a cash tip.

If I can do half a star, I would. When me and my husband first got in, we thought It was like a business. It was super empty. Super unprofessional, loved the butter chicken, definitely was not worth the price,it was very small portion didn’t come with any sides and it seemed like it was an 8 ounce dish. The bone in goat rice was definitely More bone than goat. The service was also unprofessional.

The location change from Santana row to a desolate industrial building in Milpitas not the smartest move. The food quality is good but no alcohol licenseKid-friendliness: Lots of tables separated by triptychWheelchair accessibility: No problem in parking and a ramp to the restaurant

Very poor quality food — it is likely just microwaved and served. I’d avoid unless you have no other options.

Food was good but super pricey and I would have been ok with the pricing if the ambience added to the food. Ambience is blah and not a patch to the Santana Row Amber of old. We had Palak chat which was pretty good and different, and the paneer sizzler kebab which was pretty tasty and veg biryani which was flavorful. Can’t complain much about the food really but at the price point I would like a good ambience as well. Or if you are running it in a wall in the hole place, have wall in the hole pricing!Vegetarian options: Options aren’t extensive but good enough to see you through!

Godfrey Fernandez was the manager running the show. Spoke to us very nicely and recommended some good dishes. I think this Amber stands out from the rest in the Bay Area. Garlic Naan, butter chicken and Rogan gosh were the dishes we ordered and I can’t say which was the best. Loved them all. Butter chicken is not sweet, so to the Indian audience do try it!!!!

This place should close, very mediocre Goat Biryani. Nowhere close to the Amber brand name.

New Amber location in Milpitas. No lunch buffet, but had great “lunch box” of butter chicken.
