I don't want to leave a negative review but that's the only way to reach the business owner to make corrections. I have been coming here for quite sometime and the services have been 3 stars at best. This last time I was there for an egg tart and there were 2 types so I bought one of the new kind of egg tart to sample after getting no answers from one of the women working there. She was very rude and disrespectful to me and acted as if I was holding up the line or intruding on her time and space. Btw there were only 4 people in the store Sine They allow credit card purchase only for $10 or more (I think that's against Visa policy?) I bought 4 more to meet their requirement. The egg tarts were just average, not worth the aggravation and annoyance of dealing with a rude employee to justify my egg tart cravings

Not much other than buns to choose from, came twice morning and afternoon and there wasn't much options. They do have Tea eggs which I don't see often. I bought an Egg tart and Portuguese tart both were very bland. Looks a bit dirty and dark inside, not very appetizing.

Old school Asian bakery reminds me of the bakeries in Chinatown, San Francisco. One of my favorite items used to be their honey toast. Thick toast with butter and honey/sugar. Unfortunately, I don't see it anymore.

Tasty goods made fresh. Come early to get the good stuff as they sell out of most things by noon. Take-out only.

You might like this bakery if you're not a fan of sweet treats. Very mild in flavor and fresh pastry. I stopped by the store when they have special promotion buy 5 get 1 free egg tarts. Very reasonable price and fresh, however it might be a bit bland for some people as it's very mild in sugar.

Located in the plaza where Lion Supermarket is. The storefront is smaller than the one on Barber Lane in Milpitas, but service was incredible. I purchased a mocha cake for pickup on Christmas Day; thrilled and grateful that they are open. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted. The 2 ladies working that day were cheerful and sweet. We were the only ones in the store, so we were helped right away. I showed the lady the email confirmation and the rest was history. The process for ordering and pickup, the design of the cake, and the moist and decadent flavor reminded me so much of the bakery that is now closed. I have been searching for a long time for a mocha cake. The bakery that closed is called, "Thanh Bach." Sheng Kee's cappuccino cake was so delicious and light. The frosting, fluffy. Gave me nostalgic memories. I cannot wait to order it again for my mom's birthday.

We ordered the Mango Mousse. We all agreed that it was not too sweet, which is the highest Asian compliment for desserts. Good job.

The jujube paste cubes are highly recommended (the jujube paste tastes pure), unlike some cake shops that say it is jujube paste? In fact, they are all mixed with red bean paste to top up the filling. In addition, their Polo Soufflé and Polo Coconut Bread are also highly recommended because the fillings are very real and filling, and you can’t buy them until it’s too late. (I finished the bread so I didn’t take any photos)

Came there to pickup several bakery items that are preordered on a Sunday morning. Had to wait for at least 2 min for the staff to be available to talk to me. The staff was busy arranging bakery items and didn't respond to customers calling (or unable to hear). Bakery items are good and fresh. Egg carts are freshly prepared,

Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos.I brought their regular white bread 方包 and french bread 豬仔包The white bread was tasty when toasted and ate with butter. If not, maybe for healthier eating. It seemed like to me the bread's texture when eaten tasted less flavor and wasn't as chewy. OnOThe french bread was good if you warm it up in the microwave for about 10sec. Not hard

They have the best HK Pinaepple Buns. Every time I buy some to gift to others they ask me where to get them.

Every year it's a family tradition to get a taro cake from Sheng Kee Bakery. This year was the first time I picked up the cake from this Sheng Kee location, and while everything didn't go flawlessly at the end of the day I can't complain.I didn't preorder the cake so I was prepared for the possibility that there wouldn't be one available same day, but I called as soon as they opened and managed to get one reserved. The lady who answered the phone spoke with an accent, and despite my few years of Chinese language education in America, there was a point in the call where I was totally confused... to the point where I couldn't make out what was being said logically or what the combination of sounds could possibly be as an individual term. No worries though, I managed to make it through the call. When I arrived to pick up the cake, it turned out that my phone number had been written down wrong. Luckily nobody else had a taro cake on reservation so I won my case in convincing that I was the customer, but oh how the little hiccups make me sweat! What if something is said that I don't understand or what if I don't know how to respond... awkward! Anyways, at the end of the day I got the cake, so all ended well. The cake is still surprisingly similar to how it used to be last year and how it's always been every year to my memory, the only thing that has changed is the price. I'm glad that the dining experience can still be the same though, and for that I can't complain.

This review is for the service. I went to pick up the cake which I ordered 2 days ago. There were two ladies at the front desk who seemed to know nothing about the orders they received. Here is what happened. I first told them my name and that I was there to pick up my cake. They asked for the order number. I gave them the ordered number and then they asked my phone number. I gave them my phone number but unfortunately they didn’t seem to understand. I repeated my number again. The younger lady told me 1) they can’t give me the cake without phone number, and 2)my order is for tomorrow which is absolutely wrong. I was there at the right pickup time and I had told them the correct name, order number, and phone number. In the end, I got my cake without any apologies. The owner and her daughter (i assume) seem to be very sloppy and impolite. I haven’t tried the cake yet but I don’t think I will ever order from this place again.

This is my family's main source of breakfast. We always get the whole wheat toast, green onion bread, and pineapple bun. I must say they are generous with the green onion! Sheng Kee used to have the spicy chicken cheese bread, but unfortunately, not anymore. I purchased the taro cake twice because it's a family favorite. I wish I can purchase slices on days I'm craving it, but the bakery only offers it as a whole cake at the moment. Tip: Preorder the taro cake in advance, because it may not be available on a daily basis.
