Meh food was okay but a bit pricey, they were running very low on servers and also many items on the menu are gone. The fried rice was good actually.

Not a fan, food is pricey, portion is tiny and service is slow like 101 traffic on a Thursday evening. We ordered a bunch of their best sellers. Only one that stood our were the beef tongue. The photos on Yelp and the reviews really intrigued me. But for the bang for my buck, I'd rather go to an Izakaya.

Atmosphere is shoddy. Restaurant doesn't seem to be doing so well. They are offering a limited menu with a few items. It's sad because the food is pretty good.

I made reservations with a friend to come here for lunch. Walking in, it looked like they were closed as the dining room seemed very scant in tables and what not. We were welcomed by the ONLY server/host in the restaurant at 12:30pm on a Saturday. We got seated at a table and we looked through the menu via QR code. I was sort of dumbfounded that the menu was so short. LOL... I thought it was missing a page. At that point, my friend asked if I wanted to go to a different place. I told her that we should give it a shot at least. We did. The cuts of me were okay. We ordered 2 beers, beef tartare, beef tongue, and ribeye. The beef tongue and ribeye were decent and the beef tartare was ok. There was nothing particularly worth writing home about. I felt bad for the server as he was the only person there serving 4 tables by himself at the point. Needless to say, we were disappointed. We will definitely not return again as our overall dining experience fell very flat. We spent $100 and left hungry so we decided to go grab Shihlin and CoCo Tea afterwards to pair with wine and SweetDragon pies. LOL....

I'm writing this review purely based on experience and taste of food simply because I have no idea how much my food costed.Personally, this isn't my kind of place. I came here because my husband and his coworkers wanted to. They enjoyed the food, I thought the edamame, garlic rice and chicken were just all okay. Nothing special. I really didn't like the salad at all - there was just some flavor that completely turned me off. I also didn't like the sauce. I think the salad and sauce just had too much flare for me...Speaking of the service, the employees were nice, but I wish we had gotten plates for our meat, salad and edamame scraps. The beer in the mugs looked cool, but I wish there was more selection so us non-beer drinkers could have something fun too. I didn't see any spirits. My husband and his coworkers seemed to enjoy the food, but I wouldn't come back here or to a place like this. Perhaps it's personal preference.Parking: Plenty of parking

Absolutely not. $20 for 6 pieces of dry, overcooked, cheap meat, 2 pieces of tofu, wilted iceberg lettuce and cheap watered down miso soup. The set is nothing like the other photos I've seen and missing the thinly sliced beef (gyudon?). At first I was impressed by the weight of the box but realized it was all rice. If any of the components were well made, I would've given 3 stars and been ok with the price, but truly nothing was good. It also irks me that what I got was COMPLETELY different from other pictures on Yelp. Even down to other photos showing a mix of veggies in the salad but ours only had a few leaves of old iceberg lettuce let alone the difference in meat. Other photos have kimchi, what appears to be gyudon, and we'll marbled meat. Please look at the photo I took and compare for yourself.

Meat quality is really good. But they've been short of hands for a while so if you're in a rush, this place may not be a good fit for you.

A little bit on the pricier side but the food is good and the place is very cozy

Came here not expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. Great selection of wagyu cuts. Good marinades and seasoning. I found myself rarely using the dipping sauces. Definitely loved all the wagyu cuts. The garlic rice was delish. Dessert menu limited but I didn't come here for dessert ;)

I've always seen this place on DoorDash and we finally got to give SHIMOFURI Japanese BBQ Yakiniku Dining a try! We didn't have a reservation when we came in on a weekend during the evening but we were seated pretty quickly after coming in. This place is a little on the pricer side but the food was good, we thought the prime short rib "kalbi" and "ton toro" pork cheek were delicious!! I liked how the Ishiyaki garlic rice was slightly crispy, although they gave it to us towards the end of our meal. The overall service that day was not the best, in my opinion. Our server seemed to be flustered/rushing even though there were only a few tables there at the time. We asked for some new cups of water since the first cups that he had given us looked like they had flakes in them so he dipped his fingers in the water and took the cups away. LOL The server/food runner accidentally gave the table next to us our order and spilled sauce on my phone too. Must have been an off day for them and they may need some extra hands on deck. I would probably consider ordering takeout next time.
