A refreshingly unhurried Starbucks.
It’s in the strip mall in Milpitas, sharing the parking lot with a Walmart and a few other restaurants, fast food places and sundry.
I went in over a weekend. I found the place the way Starbucks used to be - where it’s not run over by commuters and drove through cars with folks in a rush looking for caffeine fuel.
The coffee is getting served in a real cup, nice/huge portion and free soy milk! That’s nice. Having to return the cup to the tray feels, somehow adds to the experience.
So is the people watching - solo folks buried into their phones, ladies chatting up after a morning walk, and older gentlemen reminiscing. And of course the occasional guy looking for a public place to run away from the home desk. All made possible by a cup of coffee.
I love this new Starbucks.

In town for work and came in both today and yesterday. Jon was working my first morning in and gave exceptional service. On my second morning in I placed my order and to my surprise he remembered my name for the order. Good customer service is hard to find these days but Jon exceeded my expectations! :)
The Baristas here welcome you like family, the second time you come here, you’re a regular. Everyone who works there will not only entertain you with almost giddy kindness, but help flesh out any wild dreams, from building canoes to flying. Quite the atmosphere. Never alone when you come here. Best coffee shop in America.

Starbucks near work. I went to talk to an old friend from my previous company. It was a free time, so we were able to sit and talk. The latte is also pretty standard. Thank you for the meal.

Everything is good except for when you check out they have a thing to ask you for a tip. No, the tip jar is great, you can put your money in but for some reason it seems like with this new tip thing at the beginning of the payment. They people see that you don't do it, so you're kind of forced into doing it. So now your drink is not $6 and something sounds like a normal is it's now 7 or even more. If you have a bigger tip and then if you don't tip, it's like people cop and attitude. It's ridiculous whoever thought it was a read. Reject from tip yar Mania I mean, come on, how hard is it to put money in a jar? Now you make it so that you have to because people with the credit cards weren't tipping, we'll make a swipe thing for the credit cards in the jar. I mean, that's genius, call out the tip to swipe tip swipe jar LO. L

Standard Starbucks location. Picked up a Pink drink and they made it perfectly. The baristas were very friendly and attentive. I sat there with my friend for about an hour and it never hit more than 5 people the whole time we were in there. Nice quiet location.
Parking: Standard shopping center parking lot. Walked from Michaels over to the Starbucks, and the parking was pretty empty for 1pm on a Monday.
