Milpitas SGD Tofu House

One of the best place for soft tofu soup. It’s always wonderful to have a bow of hot soup on a cold day.

The place is not too big but can seat a good amount of people due to efficient seating arrangements and ordering system. They take your order before you get your seat so by the time you seat down your food comes out almost at the same time. They always provide a few side dishes as well so it’s great to sample on them before your actual meal.

Their menu includes soft tofu, varieties of meat, and other Korean dishes like bibimbap. Their price is decent but could be on the expensive side if you try some meat dishes. We paid about $54 total for two with two sold tofu bowls.

Very average Korean restaurant.

Very ordinary menu, simple decor, not most comfortable dining tables and chairs, very minimal service (only come to our table once to refill the water).

Food is very average as well. Not amazingly good or not too bad. I’m not sure if I would like to eat here again.

Good place if you like tofu soup. Variety of choices and they are FAST :) This is a franchise and the quality and taste of the food is quite consistent, i.e. it is reliable in terms of what you will get.

Consistent good food quality. The seafood pancake is crisp and delicious. The ramen noodles with dumplings are our go to dish every time we visit. After the pandemic, the restaurant started to serve the kimchi and some dishes in a lunch box container. It made us feel like we were having takeout in the restaurant though we understood it made it easier to take home the kimchi leftovers. We still would prefer it going back to serving in dine-in containers.

I give this place 5 stars because it's good food, the service is good, and it's a nice spot.
Just because they don't do some fancy torch thingy with cheese like the place next store doesn't make the food any worse. In fact, like other reviewers, I find their sides to be some of the best in the biz. Their mains are no slouches either.

(Nothing against the torch and cheese, I have one at home too 😀)

We ordered fish roe tofu soup.There was only like 3-4 bites size of fish roe. Way too little.

Excellent customer service. Food was pretty good, but customer service was an 11/10 and stood out. Friendly staff, attended to every need and were not too overbearing.

I came in when the restaurant opened at 5 pm a few days ago, and the staff was friendly, and we received our food pretty quickly. First time trying this place out and it definitely hit the spot before I had to return to work. I ordered the #2 combination from the menu.

SGD Tofu House is always a solid choice for tofu soup. Lots of choices to choose from and very filling.

The price is getting pretty high at over 20+ but you do get banchan. Banchan comes in an individual bento style to-go container now instead of just on the table.
Their pancake is alright but not crispy enough.

Overall a solid choice for a no frills tofu soup
