just reopen under new ownership, and it is now called Ocean Pearl Monkok. The food is great, and the price is on the medium high side. The best deal is Monday to Friday has lunch special for $10.99 for two of the popular items, Hainan chicken rice plate and beef Chow fun. Great deal during this soft opening.
This no frill restaurant is my go-to for comfort Chinese food. The food has been consistently good and their duck is better than other places so far. Good portion overall. The only thing I do not recommend is their water. It’s tap. The older women working there provided efficient service.
Hygiene needs to be improved. During this epidemic, I don’t wear a mask. I ordered half a duck and waved it with my hands just to look at the full box. I didn’t wear gloves... How to eat...
