We had an event over here and not even a minute after we ate the staff immediately started helping themselves to our left overs. My family paid for the food and was under the impression that the left overs will be ours to take home. They helped bag what was left, everything except the protein. Would not come back, would NOT recommend. Unprofessional staffing including the store owner is what i have to say about this so called "Bistro".

Thanks again, Zahir, Evelyn and your staff for making our celebration a success. Your attentiveness, friendliness and attention to detailed was impeccable. Everyone raved about the food, so thank you for that. We will certainly recommend Zahir for the next event!

Try long time ago. Not sure how it is now. When Covid gets less dangerous, shall try it again

Oh my goodness. What a wonderful find. The experience we had was nothing short of excellent! We were promptly and warmly greeted by the owner upon arrival. The atmosphere was simply classic and elegant. The friendly wait staff did not disappoint and provided a perfect amount of attention to our every need. We shared a delicious pear and walnut salad which was the perfect amount. I had the most yummy prime rib which was cooked to perfection. It came with roasted winter vegetables and a pear-shaped, flash fried serving of mashed potatoes. Oh, those potatoes -- a moment of silence! The entrees were elegantly presented. A delightful experience for sure. Go there, you'll love it!

Great food during a friend's wedding! The mashed potato's and chicken were so flavorful. A great place for events! They said they will open their doors for 20 people or more! Planning our next event with this place in mind!

I am going to file a complaint against this restaurant as soon as I figure out where I am supposed to do it. My friends and I had coffee and dessert after our entrees. The dinner wasn't really good but since we were already there we decided to get sweets and stayed there longer. One of my friends is taking a very strong medication for her heart condition, therefore, she specifically asked for decaf coffee. After the first sip her heart starting beating much faster and her pressure went up. I pulled the server aside and told him that if indeed she had caffeine then we were going to have to head to the hospital. The server seemed confused but yet did not say anything until I said that I was going to hold him accountable so one way or another if they lied to us the truth was going to come out. He left for a couple of minutes to check with the staff and when he come back he said: "We got the coffee from a warmer that is used for decaf coffee, so it should definitely be decaf; but I am not 100% sure because we ran out of decaf beans last night and I have just checked the room where we keep dry stuff and the shelf where decaf is stored is empty". So basically he admitted they gave us regular coffee despite our warnings. My friend is fine, although she spent the night at the hospital. We'll send these retards the bill along with some other papers that we are eager to have delivered soon.

I've seen this place in Milpitas for as long as I can remember. I've also never been willing to try the place since it always seemed empty, but we decided to take a risk! I'll say it paid off! We ordered a few items since we had a larger party: - Calamari - Caesar Salad - Clam Chowder - Chicken and Shrimp Carbonara - Zahir's Steak (Medium Rare) - Prime Rib (Medium Rare/Medium) There was not a single thing that disappointed. Everything tasted fresh and was seasoned perfectly. I was pleasantly surprised with every single dish that came out. Everything was a hit with each of us and we finished everything off our plate. Service was great. Very attentive. They remembered which dishes we shared and brought extra plates. Asked us about water and refilled several times. They were just the sweetest. Overall, didn't see this coming at all, but we loved this place. Food and service is great all at a reasonable price. We'll be coming back.

Stopped in for a cocktail with a friend. Had the Margarita which was tasteless. My friend had the mojito which was diluted and had brown basil in it. We couldn't drink them. The service was pleasant but slow considering that there was only one family in there. I have been there twice before. Once was quite good but over 5 years ago. Second time the food was mediocre. Also, I have yet to be there when it's even close to crowded. Seems a bit creepy.

Zahir and his team by far...did the best job possible! We had a large gathering and he made sure each guest was attended to and that the service was top notch! His staff was friendly, courteous, and hard working. Even through the masks you can see they were smiling! Food was great as well. Highly recommend! Thank you Zahir!

My boyfriend and I have been here twice together and I myself have been here about 5 times with my family. All experiences were fantastic! What we liked: 1. Food (try the famous prime rib, you won't regret it) We ordered the prime rib 12oz, cooked medium. Came out within about 15 min or more. Cooked evenly and very satisfying. The prime rib was so good my boyfriend insisted on ordering another one Togo! I usually get Cioppino, unfortunately at this time during COVID restrictions they said they were not able to get the ingredients needed for this lovely meal, but I highly recommend it once they do start serving this again. 10/10 the best Cioppino I ever had. The pasta nicely complements the sauce. The sauce is so flavorful, I usually squeeze lemons on everything I eat just to give it a little more flavor, but I don't need to add anything extra on this. 2. Drinks (they do not hold back on alcohol) I ordered an AMF and not only was it good, but it definitely did the job! Most restaurants I've been to hold back on their alcohol. Maybe because I'm small? Lol. Well there's no holding back over here. You get your money's worth for sure. 3. Service (they don't forget about you) Every time I've been here service has been nothing but welcoming. Good timing and they will get you what you need when you need it. BONUS: Good company (Zahir, himself) The owner, Zahir, has been one of THE nicest restaurant owners I ever met. He'll talk to you every now and then to make sure you've enjoyed your meal and to see how you're doing. I believe that he genuinely cares about the people and his restaurant is a reflection of that. We'll most definitely come here again, and make this place a part of our regular restaurant rotation :)

I love this restaurant! They serve decent meals, their menu is large, The chief cook in that spot is very trained, I like a lot eating all their food. The food is consistently fresh and tasty, the attitude towards the visitors is very good too. I visit often this place and I not even once was unhappy. I recommend it to all.

Both my fiance and I truly enjoyed our special Valentine's Day dinner. We were greeted by the owner himself, who was extremely hospitable and interactive with all the guests. He led us to a quiet, candlelit table & we started off our night with their famous calamari -- super fresh and it was like having nostalgic bites of Monterey. I got the Chicken Zahir entree and my fiance got the Seafood entree, and they were both standout dishes. The Chicken Zahir entree was really prominent in its tender and juicy chicken, which I find hard to master personally, especially when it comes to breast. We also found our meal to be a fair price point given the quantity and quality of the dishes and attention to detail all around. Overall, one of the top highlights of our night and augmented the romantic feeling for sure!

One of the 'high end' restaurants in Milpitas. They've moved several times to different location within Milpitas over the past few years - not sure the reason. They're quite pricey, which is ok if the food is good.... Microwaved prime rib, over cooked pasta, tiny portions do not justify the high cost they charge. I do not recommend.
